CNN host Don Lemon, who doubles as a stealth political activist for the Democratic Party, featured a who’s who panel of Trump-hating Republicans that would soon “go sideways” when two of the three turned on one another.

One of the panelists, former Trump official Anthony Scaramucci — for 11 days — was talking about how America is deeply divided regardless of who is president, and said support for Trump was “identity politics and economics.”

This drew the ire of CNN’s favorite Trump-bashing Republican Ana Navarro, who whined about how she hates the term “identity politics” because it refers to minority people like herself.

“I don’t agree with it, Ana. I’m just pointing out what it is,” Sacramucci replied, eager to stay in the panel’s good graces.

“Well, then don’t use it. Don’t use it because it’s a stupid — you know damn well it’s a dog whistle, Anthony. You’re too smart for that,” Navarro shot back, as Lemon tried to bring the segment to a close.

That’s when Amanda Carpenter, the former senior communications adviser for Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, chimed in.

Now a political commentator for CNN, Carpenter jumped on the comment about how smart Scaramucci is to say, “Well, he worked for Trump, so I don’t know.”

Lemon, the alleged professional host, doubled over in laughter at the insult, falling completely out of the shot, before egging Scaramucci on to punch back.

“You worked for Ted Cruz. You worked for Ted Cruz, a full-on traitor. What are you talking about? You don’t have any standing to say that,” Scaramucci countered.

The barb really irritated Carpenter, as things began to get real tense between the two.

“Excuse me? Excuse me, Anthony Scaramucci. I remember you going to the cameras and praising Donald Trump to the hilt,” she said. “When I worked for Ted Cruz? You want to go there? He took principled constitutional stands.”

“You didn’t praise Ted Cruz when you worked for him?” Scaramucci asked.

“Excuse me, what was that?” Carpenter fired back, practically yelling by now. “You really think I should answer to you about my work history when you were Donald Trump’s communications person willingly? Get lost!”

The level of vitriol was beginning to get serious between the two.

“Don’t be a hypocrite on national TV,” Scaramucci told Carpenter. “I owned to the mistake of Donald Trump. Try not to be a hypocrite on national TV.”

“I am happy to talk about Ted Cruz … I write about it,” Carpenter replied. “But, Anthony, you were Donald Trump’s mouthpiece and everybody knew what kind of person he was then and has shown himself to be now. So it’s very hard to take any advice that you have seriously.”

(Again, he was Trump’s communications director for 11 days.)

Lemon, no longer laughing as he realized how ugly this product he was delivering had become, intervened to mercifully end the segment.

“Boy, that went sideways. Thank you all,” the inept host said as he closed out.
