It’s an easy argument to suggest that nothing had divided the country more than the Democratic Party’s promotion of identity politics — understanding that because their views don’t represent mainstream America, the party exploits race and social factors to form an exclusive political coalition.

Identity politics is a trademark of modern liberalism, and Woodrow Wilson, seen as the godfather of progressivism, was a blatant racist.

Outspoken conservative author and commentator Candace Owens took to Twitter on Saturday to not only expose the big picture at play here, but to warn black Americans about who’s really bringing harm to them.

Netflix now has a category for ‘black cinema’. Uber Eats now has a category for ‘black restaurants,'” Owens tweeted. “The Left has reintroduced segregation back into American society under the guise of progressivism— they used #BLM propaganda to anger black people to the point of blindness.”

Continuing the thought, Owens said in a follow up tweet deception is at the heart of the left’s efforts to divide — and that they are far from done.

“Racist Democrats rebranded segregation as black empowerment, and ignorant fools fell for it. Spoiler alert: they aren’t done yet. Keep believing evil white conservatives want to bring harm to you while the actual evil white racist progressives continue to destroy your life,” she tweeted.

The value Owens brings to the debate, and the reason she is so reviled on the left, is that as a black woman, she can openly discuss the left’s racially driven tactics.

Former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder once said, we are “a nation of cowards” when it comes to discussing race and there’s much truth to that, as white Americans have learned over the years that this is a minefield best avoided.

Black Americans need only look at the last half century, since LBJ’s “Great Society,” which was supposed to eliminate poverty and racial injustice, to see that Democratic policy has left them no better off statistically than they were in the mid 60s.

Taking the argument deeper, there is a pervasive belief that they are worse off, as the collapse of the black family was one of the effects of these social policies.

Yet, every election cycle, the left, to include the corrupt media establishment, pulls the dog-eared race card from the deck to attack the Republican Party.

Donald Trump was never seen as a racist in all the decades he was in the public eye, but once he ran for president as a Republican, the country was beaten over the head for four long years about what a racist he was — never mind that his policies proved to be very beneficial to the black community.

Owens, the New York Times bestselling author of “Blackout: How Black America Can Make Its Second Escape from the Democrat Plantation,” is making sense to more and more black Americans.

This was seen in the increased support for Trump in the election from black voters following her “Blexit” campaign — but for millions of unsolicited mail-in ballots, this alone should have assured victory for the president

Here’s a sampling of responses to Owens from Twitter:
