Singer-turned-fashion designer Jessica Simpson turned heads and sparked a lot of reaction online after revealing she’d lost 100 pounds in a picture she posted over Christmas.

Simpson, 39, a mother of three, also discussed her weight loss secrets following the birth of her daughter Birdie Mae six months ago.

According to Simpson’s trainer, Harley Pasternak, the fashion mogul’s fit body is due in large part to her dedication to living a more holistic lifestyle after having her children.

“The difference between this and the other times was that she worked out, yes, but her transformation was more about what she did on her own time,” he told People magazine.

“She was so motivated and positive. She was saying that her body has not belonged to her for the past decade. Not in a bad way, in a positive way — her body has been designated to create life and now it’s hers again and she’s going to make it fantastic in a really enjoyable way,” he said.

The trainer added that he’s been working with the singer for a dozen years and has helped her get back in shape following the birth of daughter Maxwell, 7, and her son Ace, 6.

But he said it was tougher this time because she ballooned to 240 pounds after her latest pregnancy due to sciatic pain, swollen feet, and bronchitis.

“This is sort of the aggregate of being pregnant nonstop for a decade, and so we had a little more of a challenge between this and the other ones,” he said, noting further that Simpson gave him a call just a few days after Birdie Mae was born.

Pasternak said he gave Simpson five things to do every day in order to jump-start her weight loss: Getting in a required number of steps; putting down all technology for an hour; getting regular sleep; healthier eating; and doing exercises.

That said, Pasternak revealed that Simpson’s dramatic weight loss only involved about 45 minutes per day in the gym.

“My mantra is you get lean in life, and strong in the gym. So the majority of the weight loss actually came from everything she did outside of the gym, and then everything in the gym is about toning and tightening,” he told People.

In one pic posted to her Instagram account, a laughing Simpson is seen sans make-up in a Christmas jumper. In another, she was looking svelte in a black dress with black shades, in which she wrote, “6 months, 100 pounds down (yes, I tipped the scales at 240.”

“My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again,” Simpson added. “Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder.”

A number of other stars also responded to Simpson’s weight loss.

“You’re so fit!” Jessica Alba wrote.

Ruby Rose reacted by posting a number of drooling emojis, while January Jones wrote, “LayerZ.”

Fans also responded positively.

“We all wanna know how did you get so skinny ???” one wrote.

Wrote another, “I need to do what she’s doing. Help!”

“How do you stay so thin? You look great,” another follower added.
