An unneeded, politically correct analysis of Santa Claus and his reindeer set eyes rolling on social media.
It seems even on Christmas, the left can’t help but be “woke” enough to offer a twist on traditional themes and figures, analyzing the classic tale of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson delivered his take on how Rudolph and all of Santa’s reindeer have actually been “misgendered,” sparking a wave of commentary on Twitter.
“Santa doesn’t know Zoology,” the astronomer wrote on Christmas Eve.
“Both male & female Reindeer grow antlers. But all male Reindeer lose their antlers in the late fall, well-before Christmas,” he authoritatively added. “So, Santa’s reindeer, which all sport antlers, are therefore all female, which means Rudolf has been misgendered.”

So Santa’s reindeer, which all sport antlers, are therefore all female, which means Rudolf has been misgendered. pic.twitter.com/fkHqhJM7dY

Tyson’s deep thinking on fictional characters got its share of head-nodding by left-wing Twitter users. But the tweet also triggered the virtual sound of heads crashing to desks as many others, including Senator Ted Cruz, called out the 62-year-old astrophysicist for being such a Scrooge.
“Next you’re going to tell me he doesn’t fly all around the world in one night, come down all our chimneys, and leave presents for good little boys & girls,” the Texas Republican tweeted. “Bah humbug. A lump of coal for you.”
“Now explain Rudolph’s nose with “science” you leftist Christmas buzzkill,” commentator and TV host John Cardillo responded on Twitter.
Writer and podcast host Stephen Miller pointed out that Tyson was rehashing an observation he made five years ago.

.@neiltyson It’s hilarious how you rip everything from Red Foxx to George Bush and even your dumb self but you still keep on going like a reddit thread without moderators.

Other Twitter users weighed in with their sarcastic thanks to Tyson for setting the record straight.
So Santa’s flying magical reindeer that can get him around the world, stopping at each child’s home along the way, in a single night are misgendered? I mean what the hell, I bet rudolf’s nose doesn’t even glow red either either. Thanks so setting us all straight Neil. pic.twitter.com/PQYMNwQxzu

Let’s share a scientific fact about flying reindeer (that pull a slay with a fat man that magically delivers presents to the world’s children) so that the entire world knows that rudolph is being misgendered
As if we needed more wtf this year

Santa’s reindeers were definitely misgendered.

Tyson was offered a reality check by other Twitter users who questioned his very scientific analysis.
Sir, Santa is a fictional character.

Misgendered reindeer now? You can’t make this shit up! I guess Santa also doesn’t know physics because the fucking reindeer FLY
— Newspeak Facecrime (@IrritatingSmirk) December 25, 2020
So out of everything in the story of Santa that makes him say bullshit is that the reindeer have been misgendered? Not the elves, not knowing every kid and what they do, not doing it all in one night, or there’s flying reindeer, but that they’ve been misgendered?
— Jacob Kruger (@JKrugenator) December 25, 2020
Flying is because of magic. That has nothing to do with antlers. Come on.
— Marco (@Buster_1_) December 25, 2020
Maybe Santa’s a Republican. On the other hand he flies around the world in one night giving gifts to kids in far away countries and all for free,’ so he’s definitely not a Republican😀.
— Lance Daniels (@Ziegmond_Void) December 25, 2020
The fact that the reindeers fly doesn’t bother you. Just the idea that they have been misgendered. That’s the fact check, otherwise it’s all else lines up.
— president-elect (@theRIGHTquesti1) December 25, 2020
Yes, the problem here is the “misgendering” of the FLYING F^CKING REINDEER.
Put down the eggnog, NDT.

Tyson’s reindeer lesson continued to spread anything but joy on the social media platform.
Oh no! What a grave scientific mistake!
We misgendered a flying reindeer with a red glowing nose that can carry a sled in the sky on which there is an old man that can read minds with enough gifts for everyone on earth, all made in the north pole by elves in a toy factory https://t.co/76YHudPJya

How misgendered reindeers have been living under the patriarchal whip of an evil oppressor. White beard man bad.
In other news:
Flying misunderstood as misgendered reindeers have out-of-body experiences to escape abuse.
