The corrupt media establishment that led the four-year-long campaign of resistant against President Donald Trump is not content with having seemingly defeated the president in the 2020 election — surely, you don’t think Joe Biden “won” on his own accord.
No, this cabal of conspirators responsible for the death of journalism is now setting their sights on destroying Trump’s legacy, and they’re using the same tactic applied in the election — exploiting the pandemic for political game.
Look no further that Chuck Todd, the shamelessly biased anchor of NBC’s “Meet the Press,” who suggested Sunday that it may be time to launch a 9/11 Commission-like investigation of how badly the U.S. government responded to the pandemic — never mind the alleged calamity is largely media-generated hysteria designed to harm the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Walking a fine line between sowing hope under a perceived Biden administration, and shouting from the rooftops the Trump administration’s “massive failure to handle the pandemic,” as NBC reported, Todd began with the optimism over a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine now being administered and the expected roll out of a Moderna vaccine soon.
“All this offers the kind of hope we’ve been longing for throughout this crisis,” Todd said. “At the same time the pandemic continues to tear through the country.”
He then detailed gruesome death tolls being recorded to compare it to 9/11.
“As we’ve noted, we’re are now experiencing a 9/11 every day, and it’s worse than a 9/11 on some days,” Todd proclaimed. “After September 11th, the government created a commission to study what went wrong. How did we miss the clues. Our question this morning: Is it time to establish a 9/11-like commission to study how significant parts of our government missed this, chose to dismiss the obvious danger, making it impossible for health officials to do their jobs?”
But then, Todd is simply doing his part to set the stage for the legal pursuit of Donald Trump once he is out of office — the hatred the left has for this man for fighting them on their terms knows no bounds.
He begrudgingly admits that “some things undeniably have gone right,” referencing the vaccines that were created in record-breaking time, but Todd credits scientists for this without a mention of Trump’s Operation Warp Speed, which made it possible.
“But there are many other areas to probe, like why was the nationwide Covid testing system so deeply flawed?” Todd continued. “Or the consequences of a president who spent his energy denying the pandemic, blocking safety measures like mask wearing and social distancing, or allegations that the Trump Administration increasingly exerted influence over the CDC’s messaging and data to play down the severity of the virus?”
“Our resulting loss of trust in government will only make it harder to fight the pandemic at the very moment people need to persuaded to take the vaccine and bring this horror to an end,” he concluded.
Todd ran the idea of a 9/11 Commission-style probe up the flag pole last week during an interview with Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., chairman of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, asking the lawmaker if this was needed.

“We may,” Clyburn said. “And I think that that’s something the new administration may need to take a look at.”
Clyburn’s committee has launched an investigation into alleged political interference by the Trump administration in response to the pandemic response.
Todd’s dog and pony show produced the desired headlines, as seen from The Hill: “Clyburn: We may need a 9/11-like commission on COVID-19 response.”
