Candace Owens shares hilarious sketch about rehabilitating liberal bloggers that rings oh, so true

Conservative commentator Candance Owens shared a hilarious sketch by comedian Ryan Long that depicts what a blogger might go through after working at Vice News, a decidedly left-of-center outfit.

The skit is titled “Rehabilitation for Vice Bloggers,” and features a counselor, played by Long, trying to deprogram a former Vice blogger who sees everything through a prism of race, victimhood, and aggrievements — aka Democrats.

“After leaving Vice, a lot of bloggers have trouble reacclimating to normal society,” the character played by Long denotes in the clip.

“I cannot stop laughing,” Owens said in a tweet. “Best comedic sketch of 2020, and emblematic of the way that every leftist views the world. We all have that one former friend who could use this kind of therapy. Great work, @ryanlongcomedy.

To give the tweet her characteristic edge, Owens included the hashtag: “#CivilWar.”

Considering how polarized our politics have become in post-Obama America, and how caustic we have become as a nation as a result of this, some argue the divide is as deep as it has been since the Civil War and that we are inching toward another such battle.

Rush Limbaugh stirred talk of this Wednesday when he questioned whether there can be a “peaceful coexistence” between liberals and conservatives in America, saying that while he hoped there was a “way to unite and win,” he fears that the U.S. is “trending toward secession.”

The left responded by attacking Limbaugh, claiming he was engaging in “sedition” and “treason.” The hashtag #CivilWar began trending, although it’s important to note that Limbaugh was being accused of saying something he didn’t.

In the skit, the former Vice blogger is seen responding to a photo of an apple to say, “I see sexism, racism in comedy and minorities that need my help.”

There was a moment when the blogger said that “Latinx” needed his help that Owens found particularly funny.

The blogger responds to a photo of an elderly white woman to say he sees “the white devil, an appropriator,” only to be reminded by Long’s character that he’s looking at a photo of his mother.

Long is a comedian and filmmaker based in New York City who has amassed more than 100 million views on the web across platforms, according to his online bio. He’s the host of “The Boyscast” and releases a comedy sketch on his website every Monday morning.

(We can only imagine how the “Rehabilitation for Vice Bloggers” sketch went over in the liberal city.)

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
