Sassy GOP witness brings the moxie, becomes overnight sensation after slaying Dems at Mich. hearing

State lawmakers in Michigan heard hours of testimony on allegations of voter fraud and were called out by one fiery witness who let Democrats have it for their conduct.

Claims of fraud in Michigan’s presidential election last month were heard as President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani brought poll watchers and others to testify before state lawmakers. One woman who had been contracted by Dominion Voting Services shared disturbing allegations of incidents during her remarks at Oversight Committee hearings at the state House and Senate.

As thousands watched the live-stream video from the hearing on Wednesday, Melissa Carone, an IT contract worker for Dominion Voting Systems, went off on lawmakers questioning her credibility and her claims of election fraud at the Detroit convention center where ballots were counted.

Democrat Legislators at the Michigan voter-fraud hearing repeatedly harassed and intimidated the witnesses who were sharing their eye-witness accounts. Carone unloaded after State Rep. Darrin Camilleri noted that her allegations were not substantiated.

State Representative Matt Hall, the Republican chair of the committee, asked Carone why more witnesses have not stepped forward.

“I’ll tell you why. My life has been destroyed. My life has been completely destroyed because of this!” the witness shot back. “I can’t even get a job anymore because Democrats like to ruin your life.”

She also reminded lawmakers that her account of what happened was part of a sworn affidavit, getting as much attention for her “sassy face” as for her comments after being questioned by Rep. Steven Johnson.

“I know what I saw,” she said at one point when pressed again about the number of ballots. “And I signed something saying that if I’m wrong, I can go to prison. Did you?”

Carone, who worked with Dominion at Detroit’s TCF Center, claimed she saw “complete fraud” during her work there.

“What I witnessed at the TCF Center was complete fraud. The whole 27 hours I was there, there were batches of ballots being ran through the tabulating machines numerous times, being counted 8 to 10 times. I watched this with my own eyes; I was there to assist with IT,” she alleged.

She explained that “at least 90% of those workers were all-in on this. They were re-scanning, counting ballots eight to 10 times.”

Carone, who was trained to work with the election equipment and tabulators, explained how counters rescanned ballots without resetting the count when a ballot jammed the machine.

Carone testified that the Dominion people “were very, very secretive and very pushy” and that she “was not allowed to wear a badge or tell anyone who I was working for.”

Her testimony got plenty of attention, both for its content and for her fiery delivery and takedown of Democrat lawmakers who repeatedly tried to discredit her. Apparently, she hit a nerve as social media comments continued to mock her and her claims.

U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib seemed to prove Carone’s point as she slammed witnesses in a tweet on Wednesday.

Other Twitter users celebrated Carone’s tenacity and attitude.
