According to anonymous sources who spoke with The Daily Beast, President Donald Trump is mulling disrupting Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden’s prospective inauguration in January by announcing his 2024 run at the same time.

“According to three people familiar with the conversations, the president … floated the idea of doing a 2024-related event during Biden’s inauguration week, possibly on Inauguration Day,” the far-left outlet reported early Saturday morning.

In a stunningly biased add-on, The Daily Beast argued that this plan is contingent on the president’s “legal effort to steal the 2020 election ultimately fail[ing].”

To steal is to commit a crime, and to commit a crime is to perform an illegal action. Yet The Daily Beast itself admitted in the same sentence that the president’s efforts to challenge the results of the disputed 2020 presidential election are “legal.”

The outlet continued by arguing that the president’s “scheming about a future White House run” proves that he recognizes that he lost the 2020 presidential election.

Perhaps, though this would be contingent on The Daily Beast’s reporting being legitimate versus just an anonymously sourced rumor from the same far-left outlet that ran a piece this week about a pet psychic who’s spoken with Biden’s dogs.

No joke:

It’s also the same outlet that was sued by House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes for allegedly running “demonstrably false and scandalous stories” essentially accusing him of having conspired with an allegedly corrupt former Ukrainian prosecutor to affect the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

The point is that the Beast isn’t a reliable, trustworthy outlet, though that hasn’t stopped its “reporting” from going viral and provoking shrieks of “REE” from leftists outraged that Trump will still exist and generate media attention even after he one day leaves office either next year or in 2025:

Observe:

“His autocracy?” “Living through a horrible nightmare?” “His treacherous activities?” All this just over one of many unsubstantiated rumors? And they think conservatives are the unstable ones!?

Continuing its scoop, The Daily Beast claimed the “president has privately bragged that he’d still remain in the spotlight, even if Biden is in the Oval Office, in part because the news media will keep regularly covering him since — as Trump has assessed — he gets the news outlets ratings and those same outlets find Biden ‘boring.'”

The Daily Beast isn’t the only outlet that’s published rumors about the president planning a 2024 run. That he might be planning one is certainly possible. But the idea that he’s already accepted defeat probably isn’t.

(Worst case scenario, Trump will be back, Jack!)

“A few days before National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien left for a high-profile tour of southeast Asia, President Donald Trump delivered some news to him, Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and Vice President Mike Pence in the Oval Office,” Bloomberg reported Thursday.

“Trump planned to run for president again in 2024, he told the men, if he couldn’t overturn his Nov. 3 defeat by Joe Biden.”

If true, the combined reports suggest the president is preparing a backup plan just in case his challenges to the 2020 election results fail.

As it stands, however, his challenges are faring quite well, as his legal team’s various cases are moving closer and closer to the Supreme Court.

In a ruling Friday, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals refused the campaign’s demands that Pennsylvania’s certification process be halted.

“The case had been argued last week in a lower court by Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who insisted during five hours of oral arguments that the 2020 presidential election had been marred by widespread fraud in Pennsylvania,” The Guardian notes.

“The US district judge Matthew Brann had said the campaign’s error-filled complaint, ‘like Frankenstein’s Monster, has been haphazardly stitched together’ and denied Giuliani the right to amend it for a second time.”

The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed, but this wasn’t a bad thing, as it opened the door for the president’s legal team to push the case higher.

Like Trump’s 2020 campaign senior adviser Jenna Ellis tweeted in response to the ruling, “On to SCOTUS!”

If the case does reach the Supreme Court and the court rules in the president’s favor, there’ll be no inauguration for Biden, meaning there’ll be no 2024 announcement.

Though of course, you never know … (REEEEEEE)
