A Rasmussen Reports survey published late last week found that 47 percent of all likely U.S. voters believe “it’s likely that Democrats stole votes or destroyed pro-Trump ballots in several states” during the 2020 presidential election earlier this month.

“More specifically, 61 percent of Republicans claimed that it’s ‘very likely’ Democrats stole the election, while the same portion of Democrats said it’s ‘not at all likely,'” the pollster reported.

Among independents not affiliated with any particular party, a notable 29 percent still believe the election was stolen, while another 45 percent do not.

Similar findings have been reported by others.

Look:

Take a close look at the tweets above.

Now look at the tweet Rasmussen Reports published Tuesday to tout its findings:

Notice the difference?

Despite all three tweets sharing valid polling/survey data, only the tweet from Rasmussen Reports — which has a history of being maligned as “right-wing” by left-wing partisans — had a warning affixed to it. Why?

Even though the fears of a stolen election are real and palpable, and even though numerous cases of actual fraud and impropriety have been unearthed, the institutional left has sought to silence any dissenter who dares to broach the truth.

To hear members of the institutional left tell it — including the partisan actors in the mainstream media —  zero voter fraud occurred in the 2020 race.

Fact-check: FALSE.

Some fraud and impropriety did occur. What’s unclear is whether enough fraud and impropriety occurred to substantively affect the 2020 race.

Part of the problem is that each side is in denial. The left acts as if no voter fraud at all occurred, while the right acts as if nothing but fraud occurred.

Writing for National Review earlier this month, Jim Geraghty put it like this:

“We are plagued by Democrats who believe that voter fraud being rare means that it is nonexistent, and by Republicans who believe that the proven existence of voter fraud means that it is pervasive and decisive.”

Regardless, he bluntly added, “Voter fraud exists.”

Particularly in nursing homes.

Three days after the 2020 election, a social worker at a nursing home in Austin, Texas, was charged with 134 felony counts related to election fraud for registering patients at the Mexia State Supported Living Center (SSLC) without their consent.

“A social service worker in Texas, who worked at a supported living center, has been charged with 134 counts in an election fraud investigation over the registration of 67 residents without their consent, officials with the Texas Attorney Genera,” station KTXS reported.

“Under Texas law, only a parent, spouse or child who is a qualified voter of the county may act as an agent in registering a person to vote, after being appointed to do so by that person. None of the SSLC patients gave effective consent to be registered, and a number of them have been declared totally mentally incapacitated by a court, thereby making them ineligible to vote in Texas.”

This story received zero mainstream attention. Neither CNN, MSNBC, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News nor Fox News thought it important to cover, possibly because the story disputes the left-wing thesis that “voter fraud doesn’t exist.”

Additional examples of alleged voter fraud/impropriety can be found at http://HereIsTheEvidence.com, a website put together by the attorney and commentator Robert Byrnes.

During an interview last week with Milwaukee station WISN, a disability service coordinator, identified only by the name of Susan, spoke of encountering “developmentally disabled person after developmentally disabled person” who all claimed their vote was stolen from them.

She “says every one of her more than 20 clients told her that they were either pressured to vote for Democratic candidate Joe Biden or had a vote cast for Biden before they ever had a chance to see their ballot.” WISN reported.

She described one woman who wanted to vote for President Donald Trump but was denied that right by her caretakers.

“She told me, ‘I really wanted to vote for Trump, but [a staff member at her home] said ‘no, he’s a bad man. We’re voting for Biden.’ And the staff member instructed her to vote for Biden. So she did. But she wasn’t happy about it,” Susan said.

These stories exist — though they clearly only exist outside of the Orwellian echo chamber known as the mainstream media.
