Conservative commentator and radio host Dan Bongino may consider a White House bid in 2024 if things line up a certain way.

The Fox News contributor and former Secret Service agent but he did not rule out the option of running for president in the next race in four years. He told his podcast listeners on Monday that he might “consider entering politics again.”

“I hate politics,” he said on “The Dan Bongino Show,” noting how his wife would not be happy about a decision by him to run for office. “Paula is like, don’t you dare. I’m going to dare. I hate — I have said a thousand times on this show, ‘politics and me, no good.’”

Though he may not have previously succeeded in securing a seat in Congress when he ran in both Maryland and Florida, Bongino laid out the criteria for him to consider a White House bid, making note of Maryland’s Republican Governor Larry Hogan.

“If Harry [sic] Hogan runs for president in 2024, and there is no one by the name of Trump on the ballot, I will consider entering politics again,” Bongino said.

“This guy’s such a loser that if he ran the country into the ground, I couldn’t live with myself. I’m just throwing that out there,” he said of the GOP lawmaker who was recently called out as a “RINO” by President Trump.

Bongino slammed Hogan on Twitter for “selling out to Dems” in his race for governor, calling him out for his criticism of the president.

“This RINO will never make the grade. Hogan is just as bad as the flawed tests he paid big money for!” Trump tweeted Sunday, responding to a report on how the governor paid for “flawed” COVID-19 tests from South Korea earlier this year that never got used.

Hogan shot back at the president, faulting him with failing to provide the tests and forcing governors like himself to look to other sources.

“If you had done your job, America’s governors wouldn’t have been forced to fend for themselves to find tests in the middle of a pandemic, as we successfully did in Maryland,” Hogan tweeted, adding, “Stop golfing and concede.”

“This pathetic loser called me before he ran for Governor, begging me not to get into the race,” Bongino tweeted in response to Hogan dig at the president.

“He had so little support for his run for Governor that he had Chris from his campaign call my campaign begging for volunteers. He won bcz he had a pulse, & won again selling out to Dems,” he wrote.

In an additional tweet, Bongino shared a photo of himself with Hogan during on of his congressional campaigns, adding that he lost the race because he “refused to sell out in a blue state.”

“Best thing that EVER happened to me. FACT,” he added.

Bongino’s speculation about a 2020 run for president sparked plenty of reaction on Twitter where the left had a meltdown and conservatives urged him on.
