President Donald Trump’s legal team, led by Rudy Giuliani, held a press conference Thursday detailing some of the findings that support their allegations that the 2020 election was stolen from the president.
Among those joining Giuliani for the 90-minute presser was attorney Sidney Powell –who also represents General Michael Flynn — and the former federal prosecutor said that election machine software flipped millions of votes from Trump to Democratic nominee Joe Biden, setting off a wave of criticism that Powell presented no evidence to support her allegation, with even Fox News host Tucker Carlson weighing in.
“One of [the software’s] most characteristic features is its ability to flip votes,” Powell said. “It can set and run an algorithm that probably ran all over the country to take a certain percentage of votes from President Trump and flip them to [Biden].”
Carlson said Powell has been “all over conservative media” for more than a week, pushing the story that the “election was stolen by a collection of international leftists who manipulated vote tabulating software in order to flip millions of votes,” adding that she suggested that 7 million votes had been stolen.
The same liberal media quick to call the election for Biden spun Powell’s claims as “fictional tales,” as seen from the Associated Press, which dismissed details shared at the press conference as “a laundry list of far-fetched, thoroughly debunked claims.”
Powell was criticized for not producing evidence to back up her claim, though some seemed to forget that the presser was not a court of law.
The Fox News host played a clip of Powell speaking about an algorithm that she said was “probably run all over the country,” which was set up to flip “a certain percentage of votes from President Trump.”
“Sidney Powell has been saying similar things for days,” Carlson noted. “On Sunday night, we texted her after watching one of her segments. What Powell was describing what amount to the single greatest crime in American history. Millions of votes stolen in the day. Democracy destroyed, the end of our centuries-old system of self-government, not a small thing.”
Carlson didn’t dismiss the claim outright, saying he had “no intention of fighting” with Powell, but stressed that he “wanted to see the details.”
“We invited Sidney Powell on this show, we would’ve given her the whole hour, we would’ve given her the entire week and listen quietly the whole time at rapt attention — that is a big story,” Carlson said. “But she never sent us any evidence despite a lot of requests, polite requests, not a page. When we kept pressing she got angry and told us to stop contacting her.”
He further stated that others in the Trump campaign have said Powell has never given them any evidence.
“Maybe Sidney Powell will come forward soon with details on exactly how this happened and precisely who did it,” Carlson concluded. “Maybe she will — we are certainly hopeful that she will. What happened with the vote counting this month, and at polling places in Detroit and at polling places in Philadelphia, and so much else, actually matters. It matters no matter who you voted for, no matter whether or not you think this election is over.”
Powell responded to Carlson’s critique with a statement, according to Washington Examiner reporter Anthony Leonardi.
“Apparently Mr. Carlson missed the news conference today,” Powell said. “I would continue to encourage him and all journalists to review all the materials we have provided so far and conduct their own investigations.”
“Evidence continues to pour in,” she added, “but a 5 minute television hit is not my focus now. Collecting evidence and preparing the case are my top priorities.”

Tucker Carlson came under considerable fire from the right, which has no patience for skeptics, given all that is at stake.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story for Twitter:
How many million has Tucker made off Trump Supporters before slapping us all across the face last night?

Sidney Powell wouldn't come on Tucker's show to reveal evidence BEFORE presenting it in discovery and open court.
His response was a four-minute segment insinuating there's no evidence.@FoxNews getting Tucker to echo leftist talking points is a perfect end for the network.

Tucker lives by his own extremely fucked up moral compass, and about once a year, it briefly and randomly aligns with an actual working moral compass. He is not your friend nor your ally. https://t.co/UqGKTFPxZU

Tucker Carlson demanded that Sidney Powell present her evidence of Dominion’s electronic frauds on his nightly show rather than roll it out in a courtroom. She’s a great lawyer, he’s not. But he keeps his high paid FOX gig by following their script while feigning integrity. https://t.co/ACHqBuxwJY

Tucker Carlson pretending like he’s the first person in line supposed to receive massive evidence of election fraud and machine “glitches” over a presidential election is hilarious.
Trump’s lawyers don’t have much time, they are not worried about making Tucker Carlson happy.
