Obama stokes division with red hot coals, smears millions of Americans as racists in new memoir

Despite President Donald Trump having won significant support from minorities in the 2020 presidential election, former President Barack Hussein Obama remains staunchly convinced that Trump’s base is comprised of “millions” of racists.

This unsurprising revelation can be found in “A Promised Land,” a second memoir by the former president set to be published on Nov. 17th. The left-wing “news” network CNN obtained a copy of the memoir and published excerpts from it this week.

In the excerpts, Obama predictably blamed every iota of obstructionism and dissent against him on racism, regardless of the actual reasons.

“It was as if my very presence in the White House had triggered a deep-seated panic, a sense that the natural order had been disrupted,” he reportedly wrote.

He was right, but not for the reasons he thinks. His presence in the White House provoked panic because of the freedom-stifling nature of his policies, burdensome regulations, and rhetoric.

In a piece for Forbes published in 2011, Grove City College economics professor Mark Hendrickson noted for instance how Obama was at the time championing “state control of real property,” “abolition of inheritance,” “confiscation of the property of emigrants and rebels,” the “centralization of the country’s financial system,” the “state control of means of communication and transportation,” etc.

Continuing his screed, Obama then tied legitimate challenges to his ideas and policies to current President Donald Trump’s widely panned “birther” conspiracy that, while propagated by Trump, was originally conceived by Hillary Clinton’s camp.

“Which is exactly what Donald Trump understood when he started peddling assertions that I had not been born in the United States and was thus an illegitimate president,” he wrote.

The former president then linked all this to the 2016 race.

“For millions of Americans spooked by a Black man in the White House, he promised an elixir for their racial anxiety,” he claimed.

The implication is that millions of Americans — including blacks, Asians, Hispanics, Muslims, etc. — voted for Trump in the 2016 race because they hate black people. Just to be clear, the 2016 election was between a white man and a white woman …

Obama’s attitude is unsurprising because he’s always been a rigid ideologue who resides in an echo chamber where dissent only exists as a byproduct of hatred. That’s why he had no qualms in 2008 about smearing working-class American as “bitter” people who “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

The irony is that he was describing himself to some degree. He’s such a rigid ideologue that he invariably resorts to crass generalizations — “they’re racist,” “they’re bitter,” “they’re this,” “they’re that” — whenever frustrated by opposing ideas and thoughts. And he does so without realizing that his own words are the ones colored in hatred.

For instance, in his memoir, Obama admitted to having often purposefully sent then-Vice President Joe Biden to negotiate on his behalf because of his assumption that “any appearance of cooperation” with a black man would trigger Republicans.

“One of the reasons I’d chosen Joe to act as an intermediary … was my awareness that in McConnell’s mind, negotiations with the vice president didn’t inflame the Republican base in quite the same way that any appearance of cooperation with (Black, Muslim socialist) Obama was bound to do,” he wrote, referencing himself.

That is a patently racist assumption rooted again in the flawed belief that any dissent must be motivated by racism and not legitimate opposition. The proof that this belief is false lies in a contrast between the 2008 and 2012 election results.

According to the Center for American Progress, a left-wing think, “Obama received 5 million fewer white votes in 2012 than he did in 2008.”

This means that five million presumably non-racist white Americans voted for Obama in 2008 but then switched their allegiances four years later presumably because of his policies.

Unfortunately, Obama doesn’t get it. Neither do the other radical “progressives” in the Democrat Party. Much like Black Lives Matter extremists, they think only in terms of “me, me, me.” And so they’re incapable of recognizing, for instance, why people oppose affirmative action policies that benefit blacks at the expense of Asians and whites.

In fact, to hear “progressives” tell it, Asians who oppose affirmative action policies that hurt their and their families’ interests are practicing so-called “antiblackness.”

Speaking of affirmative action, it took Trump — a white man whom Obama has relentlessly claimed is a full-fledged racist — to reverse a racist Obama era guidance that had “encouraged universities to consider race as a factor” in admissions.

That’s right, it was Trump who came to the defense of Asians — not Obama. It was likewise Trump who funded HBCUs, enacted meaningful criminal justice reform and prioritized the interests and well-being of all races equally, not discriminatorily.

Dovetailing back to Obama’s second memoir, he also reportedly claimed that Trump, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and former House Speaker John Boehner are all liars.

“[T]here wasn’t much difference between Trump and Boehner or McConnell. They, too, understood that it didn’t matter whether what they said was true. In fact, the only difference between Trump’s style of politics and theirs was Trump’s lack of inhibition,” wrote the man notorious for earning Politifact’s 2013 “Lie of the Year” designation …
