A group comprised of at least 50,000 truckers plans to hold a nationwide strike on Veterans Day to express their displeasure over coronavirus lockdown policies and Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden’s disputed win in the 2020 race.

The group formed on Facebook this Friday under the banner “StopTheTires2020” and is led by a truck driver named Jeremy Rewoldt.

In a private group post published after the group’s launch last Friday, Rewoldt wrote that the goal is to hold an initial strike on Veterans Day and then, if the group’s demands aren’t met, an extended strike toward the end of the month.

We will not participate in the leftist, Biden/Harris Green New Deal. We do not support the banning of fracking. The United States of America operates as a capitalistic economy and OIL is the fuel she survives on. With this being said, we will STOP ALL TIRES 24 hours on Veterans Day 11/11/20,” the post reads.

“If this is not effective and our leaders do not respect that blue-collar truck drivers are having to face domestic terrorism, primarily in democrat run cities all over the United States, and that we do not support the banning of fracking in any way, then we will have our second STOP OF TIRES for FOUR full days 11/26/20-11/29/20.”

While the post cannot be accessed unless one is a member of the group (access its page here), below is a screenshot of the post itself:

As of Wednesday morning, the group had 51,000 members and counting.

Meanwhile on Twitter, videos were beginning to emerge of individual truck drivers pledging to participate in the strike and listing their own reasons why.

Here’s one example:

“You close down the restaurants that we eat at … then you close down our rest stops. Now in Wyoming they’re talking about not even plowing the highways this winter because they can’t afford it,” the guy in the video above says.

“And to top it all off, 70 million of you guys voted against the trucking industry, against first responders, against oil and gas – we ain’t gonna forget this shit. You already have, but we won’t.”

Below is another video:

“November 29th, we park and we don’t move. … November 29th is the day we take this country back. Spread the word. It’s our time. We say what happens. Shit’s about to get real. Let’s do this,” the guy in the video above says.

Rewoldt appeared on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends First” on Wednesday, which was Veterans Day, to provide more information on this strike.

“Today is just about getting the word for all of us drivers so we can come together for the bigger movement on the 26th that’ll be a four-day event. … I would like to ask presumed president-elect [Biden] … what can you promise myself, every driver, and every blue-collar worker in the United States of America today,” he said.

He added that, while the strike will cause economic repercussions, it’s a price worth paying given the far more devastating repercussions that’d be  engendered if Biden were to move forward with his radical plans for the economy.

Listen:

“The repercussions it could have is bad. However, I think it’s the only way we can show America and all of us here that reside here what could possibly happen. Last time four or six years ago when we had Biden in a position of power, how much was our fuel prices?” Rewoldt said.

“How much are they going to shut down the independent blue-collar worker who’s going to mow grass? All those gas prices are going to triple everything. So why not show him what it’s like to have none of us?”

During a presidential debate last month, Biden bluntly said that “yes,” he intends to “transition” America out of oil, thus eliminating the industry and its jobs.

According to economics analyst Stephen Moore, who advised President Donald Trump’s campaign in 2016, Biden’s plan is to “transition” to renewables. But the problem is that renewable energy isn’t technologically even close to being able to power the whole country.

“Wind and solar account for about 5% of our energy consumption today, so even if we double their output, we still need to have access to other energy,” Moore notes.

“Under the Biden plan, it sure looks like we will have to get it from Russia, Saudi Arabia and even China, which is planning to build hundreds of coal plants over the next decade.”
