Now that Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden has been declared by the media to be the winner of the 2020 presidential election, it appears the coronavirus pandemic has magically disappeared — just as had been expected.

How so? The same Democrat politicians and liberal media figures who spent months promoting authoritarian decrees pertaining to masks, large gatherings and lockdowns have seemingly jettisoned all of their prior concerns.

Case in point: While celebrating Biden’s alleged victory with a large, tightly-packed crowd outside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn his Saturday afternoon, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer ripped off his mask like a Scooby-Doo villain.

He then proceeded to loudly yell and spit his joy to a crowd of Democrats.

Watch:

Hypocrisy much?

Predicatively, left-wing “journalist” Dave Quinn tried to defend Schumer’s antics by writing, “And yes, he wore a mask. Just took it off for that speech.”

Look:

But that’s NOT how masks work.

“It seems simple enough, but not actually wearing your mask properly will defeat the point of wearing one. … Don’t take the mask off to speak, eat, or touch your face unless you have cleaned your hands and can socially distance,” guidelines from Country Living magazine explicitly state.

Similar guidelines have also been published by Carris Health, Hackensack Meridian Health and the Lehigh Valley Health Network, among many others.

Now ask yourself whether Schumer was socially distancing in the video seen above. Like Yashar Ali noted in the tweet below, the answer is no, Schumer was not socially distancing enough to “take his mask off and yell”:

If only Schumer’s transgression stood alone. Alas, it doesn’t.

Following the media’s declaration of Biden as the winner Saturday, large “celebrations” broke out in liberal districts across the country.

In response, the same breed of “journalists” who also spent months attacking Christians for gathering to pray, Trump supporters for gathering to rally and laid-off workers for gathering to protest lockdown policies all of a sudden decided to stop labeling mass gatherings “super-spreader” events.”

Look, and take note of the positive or neutral connotation inherent in each tweet, and contrast that with the lack of masks and social distancing (*Language warning):

Meanwhile, “journalists” at CNN, MSNBC, CBS and NBC rushed “to help guide viewers through all the energy and imagery. The hosts helped viewers understand the significance of what they were seeing,” according to The Baltimore Sun media critic Davis Zurawik.

How nice …

To be fair, at least one “journalist” out of thousands did raise concerns …

“I hate to be a scold here, but we just had the highest day of infections in the United States. I believe yesterday was 125,000 Americans with new coronavirus infections,” CNN’s Jake Tapper reportedly said while covering the celebrations.

“That was the third straight day of more than 100,000 infections. It’s good to see people wearing masks — although for some of them they’re slipping off their face.”

But most “journalists” said nothing.

The dichotomy between the media’s treatment of pro-Biden celebrators (not to mention Black Lives Matter and Antifa terrorists) and anyone whose ideology they seemingly resent (Christians, Trump supporters, etc.) led Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald to posit that it may be the most “credibility-destroying” act of 2020.

How the media shifted so abruptly from ‘anyone going to a spacious beach is a super-spreading monster killing Grandma’ to ‘these mass, densely populated protests with people screaming on top of each other are so inspiring’ was one of 2020’s most credibility-destroying media acts,” he wrote in a tweet Saturday.

Look:

Indeed, though coupled with Schumer’s stunt and Biden’s stubborn refusal to call out his supporters’ behavior, it seems like an indictment of the Democrat Party as well.
