President Donald Trump announced Saturday afternoon that “this election is far from over” and that his team intends to begin “prosecuting” its case starting Monday.

The announcement came at almost exactly the same time that Fox News declared Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden the victor in Nevada and Pennsylvania and thus the winner of the 2020 presidential election.

“We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner, and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: they don’t want the truth to be exposed. The simple fact is this election is far from over,” the president’s statement read.

“Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor.”

As an example of a “legitimate” legal challenge, he said “our legal observers were not permitted meaningful access to watch the counting process.”

Given discrepancies like this, he continued, his campaign “will start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated.”

“The American People are entitled to an honest election: that means counting all legal ballots, and not counting any illegal ballots. This is the only way to ensure the public has full confidence in our election,” the president said.

“It remains shocking that the Biden campaign refuses to agree with this basic principle and wants ballots counted even if they are fraudulent, manufactured, or cast by ineligible or deceased voters. Only a party engaged in wrongdoing would unlawfully keep observers out of the count room – and then fight in court to block their access.”

The president concluded his statement by asking what Biden is “hiding.”

“So what is Biden hiding? I will not rest until the American People have the honest vote count they deserve and that Democracy demands,” he said.

The statement was released at about the same time that Fox News became one of the first major mainstream media networks in America to declare the election for Biden.

“Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has defeated incumbent President Donald Trump, denying him a second term in the White House, Fox News projects, a victory for the former vice president after a bitter campaign and dramatic, prolonged vote count in battleground states sparking lawsuits from the Trump campaign,” the outlet claimed.

The announcement provoked anger from Trump supporters who were already annoyed by the network’s preemptive decision earlier in the week to call Arizona for Biden. Fox was one of only two major networks, including the Associated Press, that made the dubious call. As of Saturday, even The New York Times hadn’t yet called Arizona.

Look (*Language warning):

The latter Twitter user was correct. At the same time that Fox declared Biden the winner, not only did Trump release the statement seen above, but his lawyers held a press conference from outside a business in Philadelphia.

During the conference, the president’s attorneys laid out a litany of discrepancies that they’ve encountered that lead them to believe the current reported 2020 election results for Pennsylvania (and other states) are corrupted and fraudulent.

But like the rest of the demonstrably left-wing media, it appears Fox News decided to just skip the conference …
