Sen. Kamala Harris posted a video of a phone call she made to Joe Biden on Saturday to congratulate him after he was declared the 46th president by a number of media outlets.

“We did it, we did it, Joe!” Biden’s running mate said, beaming. “You’re gonna be the next president of the United States.”

Biden hasn’t been officially coronated as the president-elect, however, because there are still states that are counting ballots.

Also, President Donald Trump has a number of legal challenges pending in states where he and his campaign have alleged voter fraud and balloting improprieties.

For his part, the president refused to concede after being told the news, saying “our campaign will start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated.”

“We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner, and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: They don’t want the truth to be exposed. The simple fact is this election is far from over,” the president said in a statement at his Northern Virginia golf course.

“Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor,” he added.

“Beginning Monday, our campaign will start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated. The American People are entitled to an honest election: that means counting all legal ballots, and not counting any illegal ballots. This is the only way to ensure the public has full confidence in our election,” the president added.

“It remains shocking that the Biden campaign refuses to agree with this basic principle and wants ballots counted even if they are fraudulent, manufactured, or cast by ineligible or deceased voters.”

Presidential lawyer Rudy Giuliani, in Philadelphia on Saturday, also vowed further legal challenges after GOP observers were allegedly barred from verifying absentee and mail-in ballots.

“What I’m saying to you is not a single one was inspected as the law requires,” he said. “Even when a court order was obtained to allow the Republican inspectors to get six feet closer, they move the people counting the ballots six further feet away.

“It’s really simple: If you have nothing to hide with these mail-in ballots, you will allow inspection. This is common knowledge, common practice in the examination of absentee ballots which happens all the time,” Giuliani added.
