U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham is vocally backing President Donald Trump in the battle against Democrats trying to steal the election.

The South Carolina lawmaker, who was just reelected after a heated race, called on his largely silent Republican colleagues to step up and support the president. Graham told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday that he would be donating $500,000 to Trump’s legal defense fund as multiple lawsuits have been filed in states that are still trying to determine election results.

“I’m here tonight to stand with President Trump. He’s stood with me. He is the reason we are going to have a Senate majority,” Graham said on “Hannity” Thursday.

“My race was overwhelming. He helped Senate Republicans, we’re going to pick up House seats because of the campaign that President Trump won. I’m going to donate $500,000 tonight to President Trump’s defense legal fund. I’ve been on your show. You have raised a ton of money for me. Your audience was incredibly helpful to LindseyGraham.com. Give to Donald J. Trump.com. so we’ll have the resources to fight,” he added.

“The allegations of wrongdoing are earth-shattering,” Graham continued. “Senate Republicans are going to briefed by the Trump campaign Saturday and every Senate Republican, and House Republican needs to get on television and tell the story.”

Hannity brought up election laws that have been clearly violated, such as in Pennsylvania where members of Trump’s legal team were not given the legal access they have to observe the vote counting.

“Should these Republican lawmakers in Pennsylvania and elsewhere, if there is corruption, and they don’t abide by the law and they don’t allow observers in as the law calls for, should they then invalidate this?” Hannity asked.

“I think everything should be on the table. There is the process of observing an election that is being violated. Philadelphia elections are crooked as a snake. Why are they shutting people out? Because they don’t want people to see what they are doing,” Graham replied. “I trust Arizona. I don’t trust Philadelphia. I don’t trust what’s going on in Nevada. So, everything should be on the table. Let’s stand with President Trump. He stood with us.”

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz also spoke out in defense of the president, joining Hannity and reiterating that laws should be followed and that the Department of Justice should be involved to enforce those laws.

“We need public scrutiny. The media is acting as an apologist for what is going on,” the Texas Republican asserted.

“How come it’s just the big Democratic cities that can’t figure out how to count a damn vote?” he asked. “The state of Texas counted over 11 million votes and we got it done. And we got it completed. And yet Philadelphia and yet Detroit and yet Las Vegas, they sit in a darkened room…and they don’t want anyone watching them. It is outrageous.”

“I talked with the president this afternoon, Sean, and I’ll tell you, the president is angry and I’m angry. The voters ought to be angry and, if the media has a shred of integrity, they should be angry too that there is no transparency,” Cruz said.

As the presidential election hangs in limbo with several states still counting votes, the president’s team has been on the ground to look at irregularities in the process. But the silence has been deafening from the GOP Senate leadership as far as vigorously defending Trump and election integrity.

And after Trump’s remarks made from the White House Thursday evening, the latest liberal media narrative is that many GOP lawmakers are distancing themselves from the president or openly challenging his claims.

Americans have noticed and are calling them out.

GOP Senators Josh Hawley of Missouri and Tom Cotton of Arkansas have spoken out in defense of the president as have Freedom Caucus members in the House, including Reps. Matt Gaetz, Jody Hice, Paul Gosar and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. Even Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones – a Democrat – came out with an impassioned defense of Trump Thursday night.

The president’s son, Donald Trump Jr. slammed the Republican Party “that hasn’t had a backbone” in a brief speech in Atlanta on Thursday.

“I think the Democrats are used to this from a Republican Party that hasn’t had a backbone. You’re not going to see that this time around,” Trump Jr. said. “That party is gone and anyone that doesn’t fight like that should go with it.”
