Donald Trump Jr., perhaps his father’s most effective, coast-to-coast surrogate on the campaign trail, posted an image to Instagram where he playfully posed next to a sign that read “Don Jr. 2024.”

In the caption, the First Son wrote “Hahahahaha. Oh boy. This was a sign I saw up at the Fallon Nevada Livestock Auction. This will make the lib heads explode. To whomever made that thanks for the compliment…but let’s get through 2020 with a big win first!!!!” The post has nearly 300,000 likes as of this writing.

Since his dad entered the political arena, Don Jr. has become of the most articulate and compelling spokespersons for the MAGA movement and the conservative philosophy generally, so much so that Big Tech often allegedly shadow-bans his must-follow Twitter account.

“So it is one of the many surprises of Trump’s presidency that Trump Jr. has grown into arguably his father’s most valuable political weapon. ‘Don Jr. represents the emotional center of the MAGA universe,’ says Jason Miller, a senior adviser on Trump’s re-election campaign,” the New York Times reported. “He has been electrified, and transformed, by his father’s presidency. He has largely given up the duties that go along with his title as an executive vice president of the Trump Organization in exchange for full-time politics…Now, as he works to secure a second term for Trump this November, Trump Jr. is also thinking about his own political future.”

Whether Trump Jr.’s prominence, enthusiasm, and communication skills on TV, in campaign speeches, and on social media transform into a potential run at an elected office is entirely another matter.

Sharing the same high-energy level as his dad, there has been some chatter that Trump Jr. might run for NYC mayor in 2021. Even taking into consideration the incompetent job by far-left incumbent Bill de Blasio (who is term-limited), it is an enormous challenge for any Republican to gain traction in the overwhelmingly Democrat city, although Rudy Giuliani managed to get elected twice there with his tough-on-crime policies.

“‘He couldn’t win as a Republican, he wouldn’t have a chance,’ the president told Fox News last month. Many think he would have a better chance in Red Country – maybe Florida or Montana.

“Rumors have been circulating, however, that he’ll be considered for the U.S. Senate seat scheduled to open in 2022 in Pennsylvania because of Senator Pat Toomey’s retirement, announced earlier this month,” Newsweek speculated.

The author of a new book called Liberal Privilege as a follow-up to Triggered, Don Jr., 42, is a divorced father of five who is currently dating Kimberly Guilfoyle, the popular former co-host of FNC’s The Five. “Trump Jr. is now a key player in the Republican Party’s 2020 operation. He and Guilfoyle have become fund-raising powerhouses,” the Times reported.
