With FBI Director Christopher Wray mum on details related to a laptop that appears to belong to Hunter Biden, which the bureau reportedly had the contents of since Dec. 2019, investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson has some bad news for Americans.

With much of the media openly engaged in a cover-up of the Hunter Biden scandal suggesting that he may have been selling access to his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, Attkisson informed the public that the FBI “will not do its job.”

“There are numerous agents and people associated with the FBI whom I trust,” the veteran reporter said in a tweet Sunday morning. “But I have learned from personal experience that if something bad happens to me, or if I have info about a possible serious crime, the FBI organization will not do its job.”

Having insisted that her computers were hacked by government agencies during the Obama administration while she was reporting on the Benghazi scandal, Attkisson is among the few Americans who may be qualified to make such an assessment.

Attkisson spent more than 20 years at CBS News. She left the network in March 2014, citing frustrations with its liberal bias.

She would sue the Justice Department over the alleged hacking of her computers, officially accusing the Obama administration of illegal surveillance while she was reporting on administration scandals.

Sen. Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, sent the FBI a letter Saturday pressing Wray for details on emails purportedly from Hunter Biden and asking if the bureau is investigating the matter.

Computer repairman John Paul Mac Isaac claimed that the younger Biden dropped the laptop off for repairs and never returned. He told the New York Post he provided its contents to the FBI in Dec. 2019.

If true, this would mean that the bureau sat on the potential evidence all through the Democratic Party’s sham impeachment of President Donald Trump.

Johnson told Wray that a “whistleblower,” believed to be Isaac, had reached out to his committee on Sept. 24, noting that he contacted the bureau for confirmation of certain facts only to be told the FBI would not confirm or deny any information.

“I have a responsibility to validate and verify the contents of any information produced to my committee,” the senator wrote.

“The committee must know if it receives information that could be fraudulent or not accurate,” Johnson continued. “As my staff explained to FBI officials, this information is crucial for several reasons. For example, if any information offered to the committee was linked to a foreign adversary’s attempt to interfere in the election, I would expect the FBI to ensure the committee is protected and receives a defensive briefing.”

He noted that since it’s a crime to knowingly provide false information to Congress, the FBI should make him aware if this has occurred.

An FBI spokesperson told the Washington Examiner “the FBI declines to comment, keeping with our standard practice of not confirming or denying the existence of an investigation.”

Citing typical anonymous sources, CNN reported Friday an investigation was underway to determine if the laptop was part of a Russian disinformation effort targeting Joe Biden.

“U.S. authorities are investigating whether recently published emails that purport to detail the business dealings of Joe Biden’s son in Ukraine and China are connected to an ongoing Russian disinformation effort targeting the former vice president’s campaign,” the network said.

This prompted Attkisson to tweet: “Well, that’s just about how things have gone the past 4 years or so.”

One this is certain, the FBI’s stellar reputation is taking a beating in post-Obama America. With leadership like disgraced former FBI director James Comey and his minions, the trust level has plummeted.
