What the heck was that?
This was the exact sentiment that exploded across social media like a wildfire Thursday after the radically far-left Justice Democrats PAC released a vulgar, profane and bizarre ad for Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden.
The ad featured an angry mother cursing like a sailor in front of her young son as she complained about the big, bad orange man, aka President Donald Trump.
“For six months, everything is COVID this, COVID that. I lost my BLEEPing job because we’re all trying to stay at home to get this under control, and our president does what? Are you BLEEPing kidding me?” the incensed woman says.
“Look, maybe you don’t like the other guy running for president. I get it. I don’t like anyone right now. But could you do me a favor? Take ten minutes this November and BLEEPing voting. Can you do that for me please?”
The video ends with her son’s toy hitting her, provoking her into slamming into the ground the basket that had been lying on her legs, jumping up from her chair like an enraged bull and then shouting, “Oh, that is it. Wait until your father gets home!”
It’s unclear what happened to the boy afterward …
Watch:
New: Justice Democrats, a progressive group that opposed Joe Biden in the primary, is launching its first ad buy aimed at electing him this fall.
“Look, maybe you don’t like the other guy running for president,” a woman says in the ad. But “fucking vote.” https://t.co/qwanfs99GU pic.twitter.com/csj0onMmVp

Apparently, Justice Democrats — the PAC co-founded by radical Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez’s even more radical former chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabarti — thought that this ad would channel the spirit of the common man, i.e., the plebeians.
It didn’t …
Instead, the ad served to remind even Democrats and former Democrats — as well as Libertarians and independents — of just how elitist and out of touch the modern Democrat Party has become.
Here’s just a small sampling of the responses:
I honestly don’t know who this is supposed to appeal to beyond people who have already decided to vote for Biden and want to feel morally superior. From a pure marketing perspective, it’s awful.
— funkinatrix 🐬 (@funkinatrix) October 15, 2020
If this does anything it’s going to make people not vote. The people who think this is in any way acceptable or convincing were voting for the lesser evil already. So tone deaf and pathetic.
— Annabel Daou (@AnnabelForMayor) October 15, 2020
WTF was that? Stereotype much? Can’t believe a rightwing group would make such a condescending…oh wait.
Do you not effing realize many of the “white working class” don’t vote Dem anymore because they think Dems view them like this ad does? jfc
— An Otherwise Blameless Life (@KevinLNyc) October 15, 2020
This this this this. I’m registered Democrat and will not be voting for them exactly due to shit like this. It’s clear they’re entirely opposed and have nothing but disdain for the average person.
— ShoujoGamer (@ShoujoGamer) October 16, 2020
This is another reason why as an independent im voting red. The Democratic party has mocked and degraded the white working class so much this election that i don’t think i can ever vote blue again.

Awful ad. The condescension doesn’t work arguing on twitter, much less on TV. They should save their money for races where they can make a difference.

Plea for Karen’s to vote… desperation….

Notice the words that were used to describe the ad: “morally superior,” “tone deaf,” “pathetic,” “stereotype,” “disdain,” condescension,” “desperation.”
Saritha Prabhu, a USA Today columnist, warned of this exact attitude two years ago.
“If you want to win national elections, a good rule of thumb is: Don’t insult or look down on millions of voters, and don’t assign them broad labels,” she wrote at the time.
“Yet, Democratic leaders and liberal pundits continue to do that. And in doing so they demonstrate a lack of understanding of both human nature and millions of voters.”
Two years later, they’re still doing the same, whether it’s by creating lousy ads that insult voters, by saying that black voters “ain’t black” unless they vote for Democrats or by asserting that “anywhere from 10 to 15 percent of” Americans are “not very good people.”
As for the Justice Democrats’ ad, the response from the conservative side of the Twitter aisle has been a bit different — namely, more comical.
Take a look:
The ‘I hate my kids’ demographic.
Pretty sure they’re already voting Biden.

Can’t tell if this is an ad for voting or bad parenting.
— Brendon Marotta (@bdmarotta) October 16, 2020
Who is she kidding? No father’s coming home to her.

Brought to you by Karens for Biden

Conservatives got jokes!
And that’s another point — everyday Americans value a sense of humor. So do conservatives. But Democrats? Not so much …
