Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has been bestowed with many nicknames throughout the 2020 campaign and a conservative street artist group just gave him one more.
The former vice president’s image took over a giant billboard on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood overnight as the artist’s group hijacked a sign that was originally promoting the DC Comics television show, “Swamp Thing.” The secret mission to transform the sign was undertaken by conservative artists known as The Faction.
Biden’s altered face, complete with green scaly skin and red eyes, was placed over the real Swamp Thing in the sign hanging above the famous Whisky a Go Go nightclub in West Hollywood, California. The sign’s original caption reading, “Deep water, deep secrets,” was also altered to say, “Joe Biden is…Swamp Thing,” and “Hide your kids, hide your wife.”
“Why do we take over billboards in the middle of the night?” the Twitter page for The Faction asked in a post including video of the billboard’s transformation. “We’re merely doing our part to help Swampy @JoeBiden show the people who he really is! 47 more years!”

“We have appointed ourselves as the new campaign team for @JoeBiden,” the group shared in a Twitter “announcement” on Thursday. “We forgot to tell him though. SH–. Oh well. Just let us know what you think of our billboard hack for Swampy Joe!”

President Donald Trump’s eldest son seemed to appreciate the work, reportedly telling Newsweek that the artists “nailed it.”
“Joe Biden spent 47 years in Washington, DC enriching his family, exporting the jobs of American workers overseas and selling our country out to the Chinese Communists,” Donald Trump Jr. tweeted. “There is no bigger swamp thing in American political history than Joe Biden!!!”

The group made headlines in 2018 when they placed many real-looking Donald Trump stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after the authentic one had been vandalized.

Earlier this month, an anonymous group planted a 20 foot tall and 70 foot wide “TRUMP” sign in hills near the 405 freeway in Los Angeles. Made to mimic the “Hollywood” sign, it was taken down by government workers hours after being erected by a group calling themselves the “anonymous patriots,” according to Newsweek.

“It’s a psychological terror op designed to counter the psychological terror ops that the Democratic government of California has been running on its citizens since the lockdown,” an “anonymous patriot” reportedly told Newsweek. “It’s a signal to all of the war-weary citizens here behind enemy lines that they are not forgotten and that there are others like them here in Vichy California.”
