Twitter locked White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany out of her personal account after she shared a damning New York Post article detailing how Hunter Biden reportedly peddled access to his dad in 2014 and 2015, when Joe Biden was vice president. In exchange, Hunter received millions of dollars from Ukrainian gas company Burisma as part of the alleged quid-pro-quo scheme.

Twitter also locked out the New York Post, actor James Woods, and OANN journalist Jack Posobiec for sharing the New York Post story until they deleted the tweets that Twitter objected to.

Hours earlier, Twitter followed the example of fellow social-media monopoly Facebook in suppressing the NY Post story by blocking the url of the article and flagging the link as “unsafe.”

This tweet got Kayleigh McEnany locked out of her personal account. She was able to access her account again later — but only AFTER she was forced to delete the tweet.

After conservatives accused Twitter of censorship and election interference, Twitter disingenuously claimed that it was suppressing the NY Post article because Hunter Biden’s incriminating emails were obtained through hacking.

For the record, the emails on Hunter’s computer WERE NOT HACKED. They were accessed because Hunter had abandoned his laptop at a computer repair shop for months, so the shop owner took ownership of it. This is standard practice.

Moreover, Joe Biden’s camp does not dispute that the emails the New York Post shared belonged to Hunter Biden.

Twitter also temporarily locked out the New York Post for sharing its reporting.

Senator Josh Hawley said: “Has Twitter ever locked the account of a major news outlet? Why is Twitter attacking the free press?”

Conservatives James Woods and Jack Posobiec were also targeted by Twitter.

Fox News analyst Brit Hume — who has covered politics for 50 years — scolded Twitter for its hypocrisy.

Hume tweeted: “Twitter was for two years an open sewer of misinformation about Trump-Russia collusion.”

Author Mark Dice quipped: “I guess it’s okay for Democrats to post hacked or otherwise illegally obtained personal information about Trump, but Republicans can’t talk about Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop?”

Dice shared a photo of MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow bragging about getting the illegally-obtained 2005 tax returns of then private-citizen Donald Trump.

Many noted that Twitter had no problem allowing the mass dissemination of secret recordings of Melania Trump’s private conversations, but now wants to censor information that’s damaging to Democrat Joe Biden.

“Audio recordings of the First Lady’s secretly-recorded conversations, obtained and released without her permission, were not only published on Twitter but trended nationwide for days.”

McEnany joined Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity to discuss the bombshell story and Twitter’s censorship.

“It’s not a temporary blockage,” McEnany told Hannity. “When I log on to my Twitter account,  it says I’m permanently banned. They essentially have me at gunpoint and said unless you delete this story, a news story by the New York Post, I cannot regain access to my account.”

Attorney Ben Shapiro, who graduated from Harvard Law School, posted a Twitter thread slamming Twitter’s censorship and election interference.

Shapiro said: “The New York reported a leaked email in which a Ukrainian businessman thanked Hunter Biden for brokering a meeting with Joe. Joe’s campaign denied that any meeting was on the schedule, then admitted that Joe *might* have interacted with him.”

“Based on a variety of shoddy rationales, both Twitter and Facebook prevented dissemination of the story PRIOR to any fact-check. Twitter started suspending people who tweeted out the link. This is pure, unbridled insanity.”

Shapiro continued: “The Left has no qualms about using government to control social media. When social media companies act as partisan censors on behalf of the Left, then they’re spitting in the eye of the very people they require to stand up against government control. The social media crackdown on the NY Post story is the kind of action our journalistic betters have been *begging* for. Our press aren’t First Amendment advocates. They’re openly in favor of censorship.”

Shapiro added:

“Ever since Clinton lost in 2016, many in the press have suggested that free dissemination on social media is the problem. They have pressured social media to re-impose, from the top down, the sort of monopoly on informational dissemination that existed pre-internet.”

“This is the kind of crap pushed weekly by Kara Swisher and Kevin Roose at The New York Times. They routinely tweet out lists of highly-trafficked pages on Facebook in order to not-so-subtly imply that Facebook is gaming the system on behalf of conservatives and Trump.”

“It’s a lie. And it’s an obvious lie. But it doesn’t matter. All that matters is that social media companies close off access to non-traditional-media, thereby recreating the oligarchy of the mainstream media. That’s not journalism. It’s partisan activism. It should be treated as such.”

Reminder: The head of Twitter’s dubious “fact-checking” operation is a rabid Trump-hater who donated to Hillary Clinton.
