Joe Biden identifies only ‘one way’ that he can lose the election, and it’s a head-scratcher

In what many might consider a potent combination of hypocrisy, projection, and a double standard, Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden urged his supporters at a Pennsylvania campaign stop to “make sure to vote because the only way we lose this is by chicanery going on relative to polling places.” He also encouraged Democrats to “watch very carefully” at their local voting precinct.

Ironically, the Democrats are the party that considers a requirement to show a government-issued photo ID to vote in person (which is the law in some states, mostly red ones) as the equivalent to waterboarding. In other states, there are no identity checks, making the situation ripe for fraud in certain precincts, especially given chronically out-of-date voter rolls. The Democrats are also generally hostile to allowing access to poll watchers during the vote or the vote count. At the Pennsylvania campaign stop, Biden also criticized President Trump for repeatedly slamming universal/unsolicited mail-in ballots that are currently in wide distribution.

To some extent, Biden walked back his comments in the rare journey outside his basement, according to Fox News. “He said his remarks were ‘taken a little out of context,’ adding, ‘I’m going to accept the outcome of this election, period. What I was referencing is the attempts that are made to try to influence and scare people from voting. You should not pay attention to them.”

Media reports seem to emerge every day in the context of issues with universal mail-in voting — as opposed to an individually requested absentee ballot — that lacks chain-of-custody security. This includes ballots sent to people who have moved away or are deceased, duplicate ballots sent to the same voter, non-arriving ballots, ballots that are mismarked or have key omissions, and even ballots stolen from mailboxes or found in the trash. The latest example has occurred in the Columbus, Ohio, area.

“Nearly 50,000 Franklin County voters got the wrong absentee ballots in the mail, county elections officials said Friday. They promised to get replacement ballots for those 49,669 voters to the post office within three days,” the Cincinnati Enquirer reported. Officials say that safeguards are in place to prevent double voting.

Statistics seem to indicate so far that more Republicans than Democrats plan to vote in person. Early voting has already started in many states, and many thousands of voters across the country have availed themselves of that process.

“Biden has repeatedly said Trump would try to ‘steal’ victory if he didn’t win the election. The Biden campaign has recruited hundreds of lawyers and volunteers to oversee Election Day and prevent chaos,” Fox News added.

As Tucker Carlson once observed generally about what he described as the professional left, “They say precisely the opposite of what they mean every time. They accuse you of the crimes they themselves are committing,” and that “whatever they are accusing you of doing, they’re doing themselves, but more enthusiastically.”

Trump has taken a lot of heat for not promising to accept the result of the election because of potential chicanery with mail-in ballots. Hillary Clinton has previously advised Biden against accepting the results “under any circumstances,” however.  Clinton and the Democrats, moreover, seemingly still haven’t accepted the results of the 2016 election.

Democrats and Republicans are already battling in court over unique, COVID-related state-by-state changes to election procedures this year. Against that backdrop, America can expect lots of legal wrangling up to and after Election Day.
