When Bob Dole doesn’t like something, Bob Dole lets the world know …

The former senator and presidential candidate, made famous in 1990s for always referencing himself by name instead of the pronoun “I,” posted a stunning tweet Friday taking aim at the Commission on Presidential Debates.

The tweet was posted after the Commission on Presidential Debates first demanded that the now-canceled Oct. 15th presidential debate be virtual and then canceled the debate altogether after President Donald Trump refused to abide by this stipulation.

“The Commission on Presidential Debates is supposedly bipartisan w/ an equal number of Rs and Ds. I know all of the Republicans and most are friends of mine. I am concerned that none of them support @realDonaldTrump,” Dole wrote.

He added, “A biased Debate Commission is unfair.”

Look:

The tweet shocked many because of its source. While it’s true Dole endorsed Trump in 2016 and 2020, he’s not known for being very outspoken about his support. For the most part, the former presidential candidate had faded into the background. But not anymore.

Even the president himself took note of the tweet:

So did former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee:

But naturally, Dole’s tweet also garnered attention from Trump-loathing liberal Democrats who couldn’t for the life of them fathom what he was talking about and had nothing but false accusations and hate to share with him.

Included among them was a Democrat congressional candidate, of course.

Look:

To answer “tentacle porn” viewer Kurt Eichenwald’s question, the evidence demonstrating the commission’s clear-cut bias is — much like the evidence showing that Black Lives Matter and Antifa are extremist movements — quite abundant.

For one, every debate moderator chosen by the commission is a demonstrated left-winger:

Second, following the first debate, the commission immediately moved to grant moderators the power to cut off the participants’ microphones, a move that most suspect would only benefit Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Third, the now-canceled second debate’s moderator had been Steve Scully, a former Biden intern who was photographed in 2016 attending a Biden “Beach bash.”

Fourth, this week Scully was caught red-headed on Twitter consorting with notoriously anti-Trump personality Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director for the Trump administration who’s since joined the #Resistance.

In a tweet that was widely seen as an intended direct message, he asked Scaramucci whether he “should respond to trump.”

After the tweet went viral, Scully deleted his Twitter account and his employer, C-SPAN, issued a statement claiming without evidence that his account had been hacked.

But according to Fox News, Scully “has a history of blaming hackers for his social media posts.”

In May of 2012, for instance, he issued what sounded like a sarcastic tweet apologizing for tweets regarding weight loss that had apparently offended people.

“I apologize for Saturday’s tweets regarding weight loss, etc. I still have my day job at C-SPAN…darn those hackers. Have a great Sunday,” he wrote.

“In another tweet from March 2013, Scully apologizes for posts that were sent by his Twitter account, though it is unclear what the content was in those tweets written by alleged hackers,” according to Fox.

“I apologize for some earlier TWEETS…account was hacked…those tweets did not come from me. Thanks all for alerting me. SS,” Scully wrote at the time.

The bottom line is that Scully doesn’t seem like an appropriate choice for an unbiased debate moderator. And neither did Chris Wallace and Susan Page, and neither does MSNBC’s Kristen Welker.

FYI, MSNBC is the most left-wing mainstream “news” network in America.

If these aren’t examples of the commission’s bias, it’s unclear what is …
