There’s not much outside the killing of unborn babies that the left holds sacred, but the continued disrespect for Herman Cain, who died last month after contracting COVID-19 ranks among their most despicable acts.

Of course, when it comes to despicability, MSNBC’s latest prime time star, Joy Reid, could be the poster child, but she sunk to a new low this week when she referenced the late businessman to comment on how ill President Trump looks. An assessment that left Media Research Center’s Curtis Houck wondering if she was hoping the president dies.

While Reid failed to share her medical credentials with her low-information viewers, she said the president looks like a “very sick elderly man,” which makes one shudder to think of how she must view 2020 Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

“At one point he put his hand on his diaphragm, like he was wincing in pain,” Reid proclaimed. “He was trying to look like a tough guy but he looked, quite frankly, like a very sick elderly man with a lot of makeup on. That’s what he looked like to my eye.”

This was part of a concerted effort by the liberal media to offset Trump’s triumphant return to the White House on Monday. At the same time, he told the American people not to live their lives in fear, to be careful, but to get on with their lives — Democrats have based their White House hopes on keeping Americans fearful and simply cannot allow such a message of hope to stand unchallenged.

Reid would pull up a tweet from Bloomberg’s Tim O’Brien highlighting a timeline of Cain’s experiences leading up to his death, pointing out that Cain said he was getting better just before he died.

The left’s sick obsession with Cain’s death is driven first and foremost by the fact that he supported the president and had attended a Trump rally before testing positive for the Chinese plague. That he is beloved on the right is also a contributing factor.

O’Brien’s tweet is seen here:

“How much danger is Donald Trump in, a few days — we don’t know how many days into his coronavirus prognosis — and how much danger are his staff in?” Reid would then ask.

In the media’s never-ending quest to attack the president’s credibility, there are two narratives at play here, the first being that Trump allegedly knew he had the Chinese plague before he admitted to finding out, and the second being that he recklessly and irresponsibly contaminated everyone around him.

The great irony here is that someone of Reid’s character having the audacity to even think about questioning someone else’s credibility.

Here’s a sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
