President Donald Trump’s outreach efforts to the Latino community appear to be paying off.
A poll conducted by the Spanish-speaking television network Telemundo immediately following the first presidential debate Tuesday evening found that a 66 percent majority of its viewers believed President Donald Trump had won the debate.
The results surprised the hosts of “Noticias Telemundo” (“Telemundo News”) so much that one of them reportedly exclaimed that the poll isn’t scientific.

Scientific or not, the numbers bode well for the president.
Statistica notes that most Telemundo viewers are between the ages of 18 and 29, a coveted demographic that’s so far mostly skewed toward Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden in national polls.
While it remains unclear why Telemundo’s mostly young viewers chose to designate Trump the winner of the debate, theories have emerged.

A couple theories stick out.
Alpha Male
The president behaved like an alpha male by ferociously pounding Biden like a piñata, particularly when speaking about the Democrat nominee’s scandal-plagued son.
“China ate your lunch, Joe. And no wonder your son goes in and he takes out billions of dollars. He takes out billions of dollars to manage. He makes millions of dollars. And also, while we’re at it, why is it just out of curiosity, the mayor of Moscow’s wife gave you a son three and a half million dollars?” he said at one point in the debate.
“That is not true,” Biden replied in contradiction to the facts.
Trump just skipped Biden’s lie like an alpha male and continued pressing on, asking, “What did he do to deserve [the money]?”

Law & Order
As legal immigrants who earned entry into the United States the tried and true way, it appears Latino immigrants have little sympathy for illegals.
Likewise, as immigrants from lawless socialist countries, Latino immigrants appear to have a strong disdain for the lawlessness of the left.
It seems the president tried capitalizing on this disdain Tuesday by pointing out that the law enforcement community supports him, not Biden.
“Law enforcement, almost every law enforcement group in the United States. I have Florida. I have Texas. I have Ohio. … I don’t think you have any law enforcement. You can’t even say the word law enforcement. Because if you say those words, you’re going to lose all of your radical left supporters,” he said.
He later challenged Biden to name a single law enforcement group that supports him.

The president also called out Biden for doing nothing to stop the rioting by left-wing extremists that has wrecked cities across the nation:

No Pandering
The Latino community appears to be particularly disgusted by pandering, especially the pandering of the Democrat Party.
Just the other week, Biden tried pandering by playing the popular Puerto Rican song “Despacito” during a campaign event.

It seems what Latinos prefer is a strong alpha man who respects the law and “Tells It Like It T-I-Is.”
