A document posted online by investigative journalist Millie Weaver provides an in-depth blueprint for left-wing demonstrators and groups on how to disrupt upcoming Supreme Court nomination proceedings after President Donald Trump’s scheduled announcement Saturday, in which he is expected to name Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s successor.

The link to the document, which is titled, “SCOTUS Rapid Response Action Guide,” was tweeted by Weaver Friday evening, who tagged the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department and the Justice Department.

“EXCLUSIVE – LEAKED Inside docs show BLUE PRINTS for the radical left’s entire plans for protesting Trump’s SCOTUS nomination,” Weaver wrote.

“This is a guide to support and empower people who are ready to fight back this weekend when President Trump names a SCOTUS nominee and attempts to fill Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat before the inauguration,” the document says, calling for a “day of action” on Sunday.

“This guide will provide a roadmap for taking action, and ensure your actions align with actions across the country so that together, we can be a powerful united force for justice,” it adds.

The blueprint calls for pushing a singular message — that President Trump and the GOP-controlled Senate should not appoint Ginsburg’s successor before the November election.

“We must demand no nomination before inauguration. It’s our future and we should get to choose our justice,” the plan says. “In this moment of overlapping crises–a global pandemic, mass unemployment, systemic racism, and climate change–the stakes of nominating and confirming a new Supreme Court Justice could not be higher.”

It also provides a list of pre-determined slogans protesters should utilize such as “No Confirmation Before Inauguration,” “Let The People Decide,” “Our Future, Our Justice,” and “I Don’t Want Your Nominee” followed by a space to write in the protester’s choice.

The blueprint also provides a list of messages protesters can utilize on social media.

“Protect our democracy and our communities. No confirmation before inauguration,” says one.

“Senate leadership should be focused on addressing the COVID-19 crisis, not fast-tracking a Supreme Court nominee. No confirmation until inauguration — period. #LetThePeopleDecide,” says another.

“Our most fundamental freedoms are at stake. Another conservative justice threatens access to reproductive freedom, healthcare, and equality. The people should pick the next president, and the next president should choose the nominee,” another sample says.

The blueprint also calls for the use of the hashtag #LetThePeopleDecide on all related messaging.

The document also lays out a series of talking points for left-wing pundits and speakers to use when arguing for waiting to appoint a new justice until next year.

“With voting already underway, it should be left up to the American people to decide who gets to nominate the next Supreme Court justice,” one pre-approved message says.

Another notes: “Senate leadership needs to prioritize economic relief for the millions of people who are suffering after having lost their jobs and are struggling to pay rent and feed their families, not play politics with a rushed Supreme Court nomination process.”

Another message claims that issues from “abortion to segregation, transgender rights to climate change, big money in politics to healthcare” are all at stake.

“It is unacceptable and unjust to try to rush through a nomination less than 40 days from the election,” the message continues.

The document also advises protesters to assemble at local courthouses because they are “the most symbolic…that represents the messaging” of the protest.

It even advises demonstrators to create “action visuals” such as posters, signs, and t-shirts and instructs them how to stand during protests for maximum effect.

The blueprint also calls for demonstrators to “practice.”

“For many actions, and always for actions that include the possibility of arrest, you should hold a training. We recommend holding the action training the evening before your action, for everyone holding a key role, so all the information is fresh in people’s minds,” says the document.

According to the document, a cornucopia of left-wing groups were involved in crafting it. They include: MoveOn, Frontline/ M4BL Electoral Justice Project, Demand Justice, NARAL Pro-Choice America, CPD Action, Indivisible, and the Sunrise Movement.
