Conservative commentator and Blexit founder Candace Owens says some “loony lefties” at the Amazon warehouse are vandalizing her new memoir Blackout: How Black America Can Make Its Second Escape from the Democrat Plantation.

Owens took to Twitter to notify the online retail giant and her 2.6 million followers about the apparent sabotage which might give a new meaning to the terminology voting with their feet: “Dear @amazon. About 1,000 people have written to let me know that your employees appear to be stomping on and in this case, smearing Vaseline on my books before mailing them. I know it must have pained you to ship out all 90,000 copies you had in stock— but this is unacceptable.”

In a follow-up tweet, Owens vowed that the defacement won’t hamper sales of the book which is already an out-of-the-gate best seller.

“The pettiness will do nothing to thwart sales. Let’s try to get the next 100,000 that I plan to sell out of your warehouse, treated with a bit more respect by the looney lefties packing the product, please.”

As retweeted by Owens, one purchaser posted an image of her copy with what appears to be smudge marks on the cover.

Amazon has not yet responded to the book-tampering allegations.

On September 16, Candace Owens released a video to social media with a heartfelt message thanking her fans for making the initial 90,000-copy print run of Blackout via Amazon a sold-out scenario with 48 hours of its release.

Among other things, Owens also recalled that since sixth grade, becoming a published, best-selling author was a primary goal in her life because of a life-long love of reading.

She also recalled how the naysayers continually underestimated her.

“People doubted me when I first got into politics, left and right. I was just the YouTuber, just the college dropout, then I became just the girl who does college campuses.

“People mocked me when I was working for Turning Point…then I became just the girl who started Blexit, and the whole world laughed and said that it would never be anything, and that I would never be anything after Kanye West. And then I look up today and Blexit is in 25 states…”

She went on a note that the book is setting the record straight about her background and philosophy.

“For too long, I’ve allowed the media to create a caricature of me, and for the media to dictate who and what Candace Owens is. And none of it’s been true. And I got to finally put it down…and to be honest, this is just the beginning…”
