A brawl erupted in a Miami-area Walmart over a poached parking spot in a disturbing incident that is obviously the complete opposite of retail therapy

A shopper who was allegedly beaten and robbed by a mother-daughter combination in the disturbing attack caught on video on Tuesday afternoon, September 15, says she was patiently waiting to pull into a spot at the Davie, Fla., store when a woman behind the wheel of a Mercedes cut her off.

Joanne Pedro had just moved to Davie and headed over to Walmart to pick up a few items for her new home.

Pedro explained to local media that she informed the other motorist that she had been waiting for six or seven minutes for the space. The Mercedes driver allegedly started spewing expletives, however, so Pedro said she pulled in to another space.

Unfortunately, the matter didn’t end there and soon escalated. When Pedro tried to take a picture of the other car’s license plate for the 911 dispatcher, the occupants of the vehicle allegedly unleashed a beatdown.

As portrayed in the video embedded below, the driver’s daughter allegedly began punching Pedro and pulling her hair, and the mom kicked her. A man who is purportedly the son tried to be a peacemaker by attempting to stop the scuffle. Several good Samaritans also tried to intervene.

Almost running Pedro over, the trio then took off in the silver Mercedes vehicle, reportedly stealing the victim’s cell phone and purse, which contained her driver’s license and house keys, in the process.

Pedro, who was understandably unnerved by the brutal assault, was left with bruises on her neck and shoulders and a swollen finger. The attackers also allegedly struck her in the face with a bottle.

“They dragged me with the car,” she added.

Watch:

“One part that’s very disturbing is that someone got out of the Mercedes at some point and removed the license plate, possibly to conceal their identity, knowing that they were going to get into this fight and possibly this robbery with this woman,” Davie Police Lt. Mark Leone told Miami’s WSVN.

The suspects are still at large. Cops are asking for the public’s help in tracking them down. Anyone with information about the suspects is encouraged, including on an anonymous basis, to contact the Davie Police Department or Broward County Crime Stoppers.

“Investigators released the video on Wednesday with the hope someone will identify the three suspects who face assault and strong-arm robbery charges,” the Orlando Sentinel noted.
