Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield reversed his stance and announced that he will now stand for the U.S. national anthem because he says kneeling fuels more division.
Mayfield—who’s white—had previously vowed to kneel during “The Star-Spangled Banner” in solidarity with Black Lives Matter Marxists.
But Mayfield said he had a change of heart and will no longer disrespect the national anthem:
“After reading many letters and messages, I have been showed that a gesture such as kneeling will only create more division or discussion about the gesture, rather than be a solution towards our country’s problem at hand.”
Baker added: “I am posting this now so it is not a discussion on game day. And so the discussion can continue to be about how to better our country, instead of divide us. Our team is ready to fight for our goals both on and off the field.”
Mayfield said he also would stand for the so-called black national anthem, “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

Interestingly, Baker Mayfield opportunistically reversed his stance after NFL fans booed Super Bowl champs the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans for locking arms in support of Black Lives Matter before the game started.
The Houston Texans stayed in the locker room during the national anthem.
Moreover, NFL ratings have tumbled, thanks to the invasion of left-wing politics into sports — an arena that fans typically turn to in order to escape divisive politics and current events.
NFL Season Opener ratings were down 16.1% last night—a 10 year low for the NFL & NBC
I guess Americans don't want to be lied to about how racist and awful their country is—especially one day before the anniversary of 9/11.

Sports journalist Jason Whitlock has repeatedly slammed Black Lives Matter, saying they’re hypocrites because they ignore the alarming epidemic of black-on-black murders.
Whitlock noted that to BLM, a black life only matters when it’s taken by a white cop. Otherwise, they don’t matter.
"We have to end the lunacy and the facade and the lies that keep telling us black life only matters when they're killed by a white police officer. Look at these kids." –@WhitlockJason

Whitlock and other commentators have pointed out that Black Lives Matter’s reckless demonization of white cops and its catastrophic “Defund the Police” movement have resulted in a shocking surge in murders in black neighborhoods.
He is disgusted by race-hustling left-wing grifters who are stoking racial division and resentment to line their pockets.
“There is a business built around racial grievance,” Whitlock told Fox News host Tucker Carlson. “The branding has been so strong that if you put on this label of being a ‘liberal,’ there is virtually nothing you can do negative against black people that will be seen as negative. White liberals are the actual bigots.”
Whitlock continued: “Liberalism is the new KKK. Bigots used to hide under hoods, but now they hide under the label of being a ‘liberal’ and that allows you to be as bigoted as you want to be. If you call yourself an “antifascist” and support Black Lives Matter as a white person, you can go out into the streets, tear down neighborhoods, harass people, say all kinds of disrespectful stuff to white and black people. And it’s all good because allegedly you’re ‘fighting racism.’ Allegedly, you’re on the side of black people…But actually, [liberals] can’t stand black people. They have no respect for black people and certainly aren’t working toward our benefit. The world is upside-down. [Black Lives Matter] is a big lie and a scam.”
