A New York college professor has reportedly been reassigned after being exposed for her rant against President Trump during a virtual class with students.

Just days into the new school year, students at Suffolk County Community College were subjected to an anti-Trump rant by a humanities professor who urged them not to vote for the president who’s “done a crap job.” Professor Janet Gulla was “reassigned” after a short video of her comments was posted by the father of one of her students, WINS radio reported.

“This is complete bullsh– and not what we are paying to send our kids to school for!!!” Anthony Salvatore Sr. wrote on Facebook where he posted the video. It was shared thousands of times on the platform and made its way to Twitter as well.

Jessica Salvatore and her fellow classmates were forced to listen to Gulla’s more-than-10-minute broadside of the president on their second day in class at the public college in Selden, New York, the largest community college in The State University of New York system.

Her father shared the video on social media where comments poured in demanding the adjunct assistant professor of humanities and women’s studies be fired.

“… for four years, cause that’s what people say, ‘Give him a chance, give him a chance.’ Well he’s had four freaking years of a chance and he’s done a c— job and he’s really ruining our country,” Gulla can be heard saying in the clip.

“Many of you this may be the first time that you’re voting. I’m sorry it’s such a contentious situation that you’re being thrusted into,” she told her students. “If any of you do still think Trump is a good person I beg you to not only go into your heart’s center and think about this a little more, pull up all the stuff that he’s been doing to our country, taking away so many of our rights, he’s trying to turn this into more a dictatorship type of situation.”

Salvatore told News 12 in Long Island that she was “shocked” by the teacher’s comments.

“You’re initially like, every professor says you’re not supposed to disclose your political views. So I was shocked and then when I found out she was saying horrible things I was really appalled,” she said.

U.S. Rep. Lee Zelden, who represents the district where the school is located, shared the video on Twitter as well, slamming the “college instructor trying her best DURING CLASS to indoctrinate students to turn against POTUS & remove him from office.”

“This is wrong on many levels & gives our teachers a very bad name. Our classrooms should be a place for free thinking not indoctrination!” the New York Republican added in the post that was retweeted by Donald Trump Jr.

Suffolk Community College issued a statement saying they were aware of the incident and were investigating.

“Suffolk County Community College is aware of a video posted to Facebook allegedly containing 45 seconds of audio from a 1 hour and 15 minute online class. Pending an investigation of the content and context of that video, we have reassigned the faculty member involved in the video. Suffolk County Community College encourages any open and diverse discussion and exchange of ideas. The College does not, however, condone electioneering by faculty in the classroom.”

The video sparked plenty of impassioned Twitter reactions.
