Dov Hikind, a former Democratic New York state assemblyman and a current leader in Brooklyn’s Jewish community, ripped into Joe Biden, the party’s presidential nominee, for meeting with Jacob Blake Sr. following reports of anti-Semitic comments and racist statements about White people.

During his opening remarks, Fox News host Tucker Carlson said that Blake Sr., the father of the man shot by Kenosha police last month during an attempted arrest, once said on social media, “I’m with [Louis] Farrakhan 100%,” posted a picture of Jesus’ face in a toilet, and referred to Whites as “crackers” and black supporters of President Donald Trump as “coons.”

The racial statements made by Blake Sr. as well as his support for Nation of Islam leader Farrakhan, who has often been accused of making anti-Semitic and racist remarks, was also reported by the Washington Times.

Carlson also noted that Biden’s “handlers” were no doubt aware of the controversial statements and racist comments, but allowed the former VP to meet with him anyway.

Asked to respond to Biden’s meeting, Hikind called it “pathetic.”

“It is pathetic, it is hypocrisy, it’s a double-standard and people need to recognize that. It is just beyond comprehension. Someone who follows Farrakhan, the number one anti-Semite in this country, someone who preaches hate for the Jewish people… and Blake is a follower of Louis Farrakhan spreading his hate on social media to millions of people,” Hikind said.

“So how in God’s name does the former vice president go and meet with this individual and praise this individual?” Hikind continued.

He then went on to blast former President Barack Obama and Biden who, after being in office for eight years, apparently did not do enough to solve racial problems in the country.

“I hope Democrats will wake up and realize this hypocrisy,” the Jewish leader added.

After accusing Biden and the current Democratic Party leadership of “endangering this country,” he said “people are afraid,” noting further that he is asked by people “in my community is there a future in America.”

“This the greatest country in the world. We are not perfect, no one is perfect and no country is perfect. But this is the greatest country in the world,” he said while noting that as a registered Democrat, he is nevertheless “ashamed of the Democratic Party.”

“It is a betrayal of all the values that America is all about,” Hikind said.

At one point, Carlson asked his guest why Biden’s people did not stop him from meeting with Blake Sr.

“It’s simple. They are cowards and afraid of upsetting the Democratic Party and the radical left,” said Hikind.

“Isn’t it strange that Bernie Sanders and Tlaib and Omar — isn’t it funny how quiet they are?” He added, a reference to Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), both of whom are Muslim, and the former Democratic presidential contender, who is Jewish.

He went on to recount what happened to his mother and grandparents in 1944 when all were taken by the Nazi regime to the Auschwitz concentration camp. Though his mother obviously survived, his grandparents were immediately gassed to death on their arrival.

“That’s what hate does,” said Hikind. “Hate of the Jewish people. Just pure unadulterated hate.”
