Vice President Mike Pence dismissed gossip trying to deflect attention from Joe Biden’s flagging mental health by saying he doesn’t recall being on standby to assume the presidency when President Trump visited Walter Reed Medical Center in November for a physical exam.
“I don’t recall being told to be on standby,” Pence told Fox News. “I was informed that the president had a doctor’s appointment. [But] part of this job is, you are always on standby if you are vice president of the United States.”
Vice President Pence added: “The American people can be confident that this president is in remarkable good health, and every single day I see that energy.”
Pence was responding to the latest left-wing innuendo about Trump — this time it’s speculation that Trump may have suffered a stroke, and that’s why he visited Walter Reed Medical Center in November.
Trump’s physician said the president was there for a routine physical exam, which he passed with flying colors.
The “stroke” gossip started after New York Times reporter Michael Schmidt claimed in a forthcoming anti-Trump book that Pence was asked to be on standby when Trump visited Walter Reed in case he had to be anesthetized for a procedure.
CNN contributor Joe Lockhart, who was the White House press secretary for Bill Clinton, then started the inane “stroke” rumor on Twitter.

The anti-Trump Drudge Report fanned the flames with an absurd cover page that claimed to show a video of Trump “dragging his right leg.”
For the record, this is the video that leftists claim supports the rumor that Trump had a stroke.
As you can see, there was no foot-dragging. The president was walking normally.

President Trump reacted by saying the Left is merely floating these rumors to deflect attention away from Joe Biden’s poor health.

Trump added: “Mike Pence was never put on standby, and there were no mini-strokes. This is just more Fake News by CNN.”
The president also blasted the Drudge Report, which has become so anti-Trump that its Trump Derangement Syndrome is more extreme than many left-wing media outlets.
Trump tweeted: “Drudge didn’t support me in 2016, and I hear he doesn’t support me now. Maybe that’s why he is doing poorly. His Fake News report on Mini-Strokes is incorrect. Possibly thinking about himself, or the other party’s “candidate.”

President Trump’s physician Dr. Sean Conley released a statement confirming that Trump never had a stroke and is in excellent health:
“I can confirm that President Trump has not experienced nor been evaluated for a cerebrovascular accident (stroke), transient ischemic attack (mini stroke), or any acute cardiovascular emergencies, as have been incorrectly reported in the media.”
“The President remains healthy and I have no concerns about his ability to maintain the rigorous schedule ahead of him. As stated in my last report, I expect him to remain fit to execute the duties of the Presidency.”
Even CNN’s anti-Trump host John Berman was skeptical of the “stroke” gossip. Berman underscored that the book that claims Pence was on standby never mentioned a stroke.
“The book, which CNN has obtained, does not mention mini-strokes or any other specific reason for the visit,” Berman said. “The words aren’t there.”

Meanwhile, Joe Biden’s mental and physical fitness has come under intense scrutiny amid his nonstop gaffes and shocking blunders.
Dr. David Scheiner, the former longtime physician to Barack Obama, recently declared that “frail” Biden is not healthy and is at risk for deadly strokes.
“He’s not a healthy guy,” Scheiner said. “Could I guarantee he won’t have issues for the next four years? He has a lot of issues that are just sort of sitting there.”

In a recent letter, Biden’s personal physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, revealed that Joe has a history of aneurysms, high cholesterol, and gets treatment for an irregular heartbeat.
In 1988, Biden suffered two aneurysms — one of which almost killed him. This concerned Obama doctor Dr. David Scheiner, who said he’s worried about Biden’s potential for strokes.
Dr. Scheiner said Biden does not look vigorous or energetic. “I sort of got the feeling he wasn’t very strong,” he remarked.
