President Trump plans to call for drug tests both for himself and Democrat Joe Biden ahead of their first presidential debate, which is set for September 29.
Trump cited Biden’s curious performance in his final Democratic primary debate on March 15 for fueling suspicions that he may have taken drugs to improve his coherence.
Biden has been dogged by rampant speculation over his flailing mental health, which was spotlighted by his numerous gaffes on the campaign trail.
“We’re going to call for a drug test because his best performance was against Bernie [in their final debate],” Trump told the Washington Examiner. “It wasn’t that he was Winston Churchill because he wasn’t. It was a normal, boring debate. Nothing amazing happened…But I don’t know how he could have been so incompetent in his debate performances and then all of a sudden be OK against Bernie.”
Trump added: “If you go back and watch some of those numerous debates, he was so bad. He wasn’t even coherent. And against Bernie, he was. So we’re calling for a drug test…I think it’s appropriate. He was close to incompetent. And against Bernie, he was normal. How does that happen?”
The president continued: “Go back and watch his performances in some of those debates. He didn’t know where he was. And all of a sudden, he was normal and I don’t understand how. Somebody said to me, ‘He must be on drugs.’ I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I’m asking for a drug test. Both candidates.”

In response to the reporter’s question about whether the debates are “like a prizefight,” President Trump said it was. He pointed out that he had asked to stand during the debates, but the Democrats want Biden to sit.
“It is a prizefight,” Trump remarked. “It’s no different from the gladiators, except we have to use our brain and our mouth. And our body to stand. I want all standing. They want to sit down.”
The first presidential debate takes place on Sept. 29 at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio.
Biden’s own supporters admit they’re worried about his deteriorating mental fitness but support him because they have no other choice.
One woman said: “It’s very concerning. When he is getting softballs thrown at him and he can’t answer the question [it’s scary].”
A man admitted: “I am concerned about it as far as the debate performance with going up against Trump.”
Another Democrat chimed in: “It’s one of the reasons why I could not vote with my conscience for Joe Biden. I don’t want to have to worry about mental issues.”
While Democrats constantly mock President Trump for some of his awkward statements, he scored a perfect 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA) test, which screens for mental impairment symptoms that precede dementia.

Meanwhile, Barack Obama’s former doctor says Biden is “not healthy” and is at risk for suffering deadly strokes.
A letter from Biden’s personal physician revealed that the 77-year-old Democrat has a history of brain aneurysms and gets treatments for an irregular heartbeat.
