Los Angeles’ Democrat mayor, Eric Garcetti, authorized the L.A. Department of Water and Power to shut off water and electricity to any homes or venues that host large parties or unauthorized gatherings amid the coronavirus crisis.
“Starting on Friday night (August 7), if LAPD verifies that a large gathering is occurring at a property — and we see these properties offending time and time again — they will provide notice and initiate the process to request that DWP shut off service within the next 48 hours,” Garcetti said.
Mayor Garcetti underscored that his directive does not apply to small gatherings in private homes, but rather, to large parties that pose a significant public-health risk.
Violating the health order is “a crime punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both,” the L.A. County Department of Public Health said in a statement.
The department explained: “The highest-risk settings are large, in-person gatherings where it is difficult for individuals to remain spaced at least 6 feet apart and where face coverings are not worn. The consequences of these large parties ripple throughout our entire community because the virus can quickly and easily spread.”
Eric Garcetti issued the order after an Aug. 3 mansion party in L.A.’s Beverly Crest neighborhood resulted in multiple shootings and the death of 35-year-old mom of three.

The shootings at Beverly Crest were “gang-related,” and the party was not broken up, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
It’s odd that the crowded bash was not broken up since attendees did not wear masks or social-distance. Numerous videos confirm this.
It’s also noteworthy that the partygoers were black — a group that is at high risk to die from the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Christians who attend church services while remaining inside their parked cars in a church parking lot are being fined for violating lockdown orders.
Sadly, the shooting death at the Beverly Crest party probably could’ve been prevented if the LAPD had broken up the gathering after receiving multiple disturbance calls from neighbors.
The LAPD said it responded to the disturbance calls but did not shut down the party because the “music was not that loud” and the event was held on a private residence.
Because of law enforcement being handcuffed by the police demonization of the Marxist Black Lives Matter movement, several people got shot at the Beverly Crest party, and a mom of three is now dead.

While L.A. Mayor Garcetti is focused on the coronavirus, homelessness has skyrocketed in Los Angeles, San Francisco and other major California cities.
Local activists directly blame California’s leftist policies for the destruction of the Democrat-controlled state.
In May 2019 — well before the coronavirus crisis — Dr. Drew Pinsky warned that an infectious disease epidemic could erupt across California if lawmakers didn’t do something to stem the homelessness crisis, which has caused many city streets to be covered in trash, drugs, and human feces.
“We have tens of thousands of people living in tents,” Pinsky said. “Horrible conditions. Sanitation. Rats have taken over the city [Los Angeles]. We have multiple rodent-borne, flea-borne illnesses, plague, typhus. We’re gonna have louse-borne illness. If measles breaks into that population, we have tuberculosis exploding.”

As a result of lax left-wing policies that encourage homelessness and drug abuse on the streets, Dr. Pinsky lamented that his once-beautiful home state has devolved into “a nightmare.”
New York City residents can relate.
