Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden blasted a CBS reporter on Tuesday for asking whether or not the former vice president had taken a cognitive test.
During a wide-ranging interview, Biden lashed out at Errol Barnett during a multi-moderator conference of Black and Latino journalists for asking the question.
“No, I haven’t taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test?” Biden responded.
“C’mon man,” he continued. “That’s like saying, ‘You — before you got on this program you took a test where you’re taking cocaine or not, what do you think?’ Huh? Are you a junkie?”
Barnett followed up his question by asking the former vice president what he would ask President Donald Trump, “who brags about his test and makes your mental state an issue for voters?”

“Well, if he can’t figure out the difference between an elephant and a lion, I don’t know what the hell he’s talking about,” said Biden, laughing. “Look, c’mon man, I know you’re trying to goad me, but I’m so … forward-looking to have an opportunity to sit with the president or stand with the president on the debates.
“There’s gonna be plenty of time,” Biden continued.
But then the former VP appeared to validate President Trump’s questioning of his mental state, as he has in the past.
“And by the way…I’m very willing to let the American public judge my physical and mental…my physical, as well as my mental…fitness,” he said, obviously struggling.
In an interview with Fox News’ Chris Wallace last month, President Trump noted that he aced a recent cognitive test.
“It was 30, 35 questions. The first questions are very easy. The last questions are much more difficult. Like a memory question. It’s like you’ll go ‘person, woman, man, camera, TV.’ So they say could you repeat that? I said, yeah. ‘Person, woman, man, camera, TV.’ Okay, that’s very good. If you get it in order, you get extra points,” Trump said.
The multi-word response — “person, woman, man, camera, TV” — was mocked by several liberal cable news pundits and hosts, including CNN’s Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon. But while mocking Trump, Lemon actually got a portion of the test wrong.
Later, Dr. Ziad Nasreddine, a test developer and neurologist, pushed back on CNN host Erin Burnett’s insinuation that the test was “easy.”
As for Biden, concerns about his mental state and acuity have been rising for months.
In early July, he slammed a Fox News reporter as a “lying dogface” when asked about his acuity.
Biden also claimed he was being “constantly tested.”
“I’ve been tested. I’m constantly testing. Look, all you got to do is watch me and I can hardly wait to compare my cognitive capability to the cognitive capability of the man I’m running against. Thank you so much,” he said.
A few days later, the president pushed Biden to release the results of any cognitive tests he’d taken.
On Monday, former Secret Service agent and conservative pundit Dan Bongino said he had heard from people “close to the situation” that Biden’s cognitive abilities were rapidly declining.

“Not a joke and not hyperbole – I’m hearing from people close to the situation that Biden’s cognitive decline is rapidly worsening and is becoming increasingly difficult to mask. The Democrats are going to have to make a decision soon,” Bongino wrote.
In a Wednesday morning tweet, Donald Trump Jr. pointed out that Biden has now given conflicting answers about cognitive tests.
He definitively said that he was tested and even said “constantly” tested, what changed?
Which time was Biden out right lying?
Maybe he just can’t remember if he took a cognitive test or not? https://t.co/IcXnLMM2gv
