Circular firing squad: Jacob Frey, the Democrat mayor of Minneapolis, blamed Minnesota’s Democrat governor Tim Walz for the mass riots and looting that erupted following the May 25 death of George Floyd.

Frey was heavily criticized for his poor handling of the mob violence in Minneapolis. However, the mayor says his city was besieged by thugs because Minnesota’s governor ignored his multiple pleas begging for help.

Mayor Frey said he asked Governor Walz to send in the National Guard to curb the riots, but Walz dragged his feet, and then later blamed Frey for his city being burned down.

“I relayed information as best I could to state partners,” Frey told the Star Tribune. “We expressed the seriousness of the situation. The urgency was clear.”

Frey showed dated emails proving his claims that he had begged Minnesota’s governor for help, but those pleas went ignored for days.

George Floyd was killed on May 25. By May 26, rioting and looting erupted in Minneapolis.

Governor Walz did not send the National Guard until May 28. But by that time, Minneapolis was destroyed.

Frey had asked for 600 National Guard soldiers. Walz sent a meager 90.

“On Wednesday, May 27, the second evening of unrest around the Third Precinct, Frey said Police Chief Medaria Arradondo called him at 6:23 p.m. to say that the Target store near the police station was being looted and that he needed the National Guard.

Frey said he immediately telephoned Walz, at 6:29 p.m., relayed information, and asked him to send in the National Guard.

“We expressed the seriousness of the situation. The urgency was clear,” Frey said.

“He did not say yes,” Frey said of Walz. “He said he would consider it.”

Frey said Walz ignored his frantic pleas for help to Minneapolis, which was under siege by Black Lives Matter rioters and arsonists.

Walz disputed Frey’s version of events with the lame riposte that a “verbal request cannot be considered an official request for the National Guard.”

Moreover, when the violence first exploded, Walz blamed the rioting, looting and arson on “out-of-state instigators” and “white supremacists” even though 86% of those arrested for arson and vandalism were in-state residents. Most were not white.

Why is this important? Because Democrats are trying to shift the blame for the mob violence (which they encouraged) away from Black Lives Matter activists and onto white people and their favorite phantom villain — “white supremacists.”

As it is, countless videos of the Minneapolis riots that we all saw with our own eyes clearly showed that most of the rioters and looters were not white.

The notion that a “white supremacist” would show his face during an anti-white race riot where he is clearly outnumbered is also laughable.

Here’s a sample of the looting and rioting in other Democrat-run cities across the country:

Even a left-wing, anti-Trump Twitter user urged the public to recognize the leftist gaslighting that’s happening.

“Police claims of ‘outside agitators’ is one of the oldest PR tactics in the book and one should be careful spreading it uncritically. The addition of white supremacists is a new twist to peel off fence-sitting liberals.”

This is part of the Democrats’ strategy to ignite a race war and blame the recent anarchy on white people — specifically, on Trump supporters.

Most Trump supporters have vocally condemned the riots stoked by the left-wing media and by Democrats.

Fox News anchor Greg Gutfeld blasted the Left for deflecting the blame for the destruction they breathlessly encouraged with their nonstop race-baiting.

“If media must believe rioters are ‘white supremacists’ in order to condemn them, then let’s play along. Round the ghoulish bigots up, lock em up, punish em to the hilt. And when we find out later they were Antifa, it won’t matter cuz we did the right thing.”

Gutfeld noted: “As protesters march on Trump Tower in Chicago and the White House, a frank media might point out the death of Mr. Floyd happened under a Democrat mayor, Democrat senator, Democrat governor, with a Democrat county prosecutor. The only person who did sh*t was a Republican. Trump.”

These race riots that the left-wing media are stoking are based on a lie: That all white police officers are racists who are hunting down black men.

Black Trump supporter Brandon Tatum dispelled the Left’s race-baiting grievance-mongering: “I understand hurt. But I will not validate lies. Black people are not being “hunted down” by police.”

Tatum continued: “Black people have equal opportunities in America like everyone else. The white man ain’t the problem. It’s the man or woman you look at everyday in the mirror. Stop it already!”
