CNN activist Jake Tapper got triggered when President Trump briefly spoke to a small group of supporters who had gathered on the tarmac at the Tampa, Florida airport to greet him.
Tapper fumed on Twitter: “Trump holds event with Florida supporters at Tampa airport, with little distancing or mask-wearing.”
President Trump responded by noting that the gathering was not a rally (otherwise there would’ve been a larger crowd), but a small group of Florida law enforcement officers who were there to greet him.
“Jake, this wasn’t a Trump Rally, but rather a very successful gathering of the great Sheriffs and Law Enforcement (of Florida) who gave me their unequivocal ENDORSEMENT,” Trump tweeted. “No Defund the Police here. Best Wishes!”
Hours earlier, Trump was endorsed by the Florida Police Benevolent Association, the state’s largest police union.
President Trump told the police union that “as long as I’m president, I will never defund your police!”

Predictably, Jake Tapper and other Democrats said nothing about the multiple funeral extravaganzas that were held for the late Congressman John Lewis.
To underscore how shamelessly the Left has politicized the coronavirus, Muriel Bowser — the Democrat mayor of Washington, D.C. — exempted attendees of Lewis’ funeral (which was held last week in Georgia) from the District of Columbia’s strict quarantine rules.
Reminder: There were multiple memorials and funeral extravaganzas held for John Lewis during the past two weeks. Most were held indoors, where attendees were packed together like sardines.
Meanwhile, countless Americans were not allowed to hold funerals for their loved ones who had recently died.
But remember your grandma can’t have a funeral because her life just wasn’t as important as John Lewis’s. Sorry. Those are the new rules. pic.twitter.com/Jh4ADurUQ9

There was a memorial for John Lewis at a chapel in Alabama, then at Troy University, then he was ceremonially brought across a bridge in a horse drawn carriage. Next he will lie in DC for 2 days so the public can pay respects, then a memorial in Atlanta and a funeral the next day

I get it. My dad wasn’t important. So it’s ok to limit his funeral to 10 people tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/9MCAlNrRK4

Under the District of Columbia’s coronavirus rules, individuals who travel to “high-risk areas” are required to self-quarantine for 14 days upon re-entering the District.
The state of Georgia is considered a “high-risk area” for the coronavirus by Mayor Bowser’s office.
However, Bowser confirmed that anyone who attended Congressman Lewis’ funeral in Georgia is not required to self-quarantine upon re-entering D.C.
“Government activity is essential, and the Capitol of the United States is exempt from the Mayor’s Order,” Bowser’s press secretary told Just the News.
Bowser’s rep said John Lewis’ funeral was considered “government activity,” and therefore, exempt from DC’s quarantine rules.
When asked if anyone who attends a non-government funeral in a high-risk area is required to self-quarantine, Bowser’s rep said: “Yes.”
Democrats are demanding that all Americans avoid crowds, wear masks, and social-distance, but they also say Black Lives Matter rioters are exempt from these rules.
This double standard underscores that the coronavirus crisis is being politicized and weaponized against Trump supporters and anyone on the Right.
In June, a county in Oregon issued a directive requiring all white people to wear face masks in public. However, it exempted black people from wearing masks, even though blacks are a higher risk group to die from COVID.

Last week, Republican Congressman Jim Jordan grilled Hillary superfan Dr. Anthony Fauci about whether Black Lives Matter protests should be banned because the left-wing mobs do not social-distance or wear masks in some instances.
Fauci dodged the question by saying, “I’m not in a position to determine what the government can do in a forceful way.”
That’s when Jordan fired back: “You make all kinds of recommendations. You make comments on dating, on baseball, on everything you can imagine. I’m just asking you should we try to limit the protests?”
Jim Jordan added: “The government’s stopping people from going to church, Dr. Fauci. Last week, five liberals on the Supreme Court said it was OK for Nevada to limit church services. Is there a world where the Constitution says you can favor one First Amendment liberty — protesting — over another — practicing your faith?”
Fauci stammered: “I’m not favoring anybody over anybody. When you’re in a crowd, particularly if you’re not wearing a mask, that induces the spread.”
Here’s how Anthony Fauci — who never practiced medicine — wears his mask and socially-distances:
