With no evidence whatsoever, Rep. Raúl Grijalva, D-Ariz., is blaming Republicans after testing positive for COVID-19 — the radical left lawmaker placed a disclaimer beforehand insisting he was not blaming anyone.

Lending a big assist, the liberal media was quick to note that Grijalva held a House Natural Resources Committee hearing last week that Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, also attended — Gohmert announced last week that he had tested positive.

The Associated Press took care to note that Grijalva “sat close to” the GOP lawmaker — in the opening sentence of the article reporting on his positive test.

Grijalva released a statement saying he is asymptomatic, feels fine, and has gone into self-quarantine. He also criticized Republicans who “strut around the Capitol without a mask to selfishly make a political statement at the expense of their colleagues, staff, and their families.”

“COVID-19 is not a joke [and] we should all take this seriously,” the Democrat said in a tweet that included his statement.

“While I cannot blame anyone directly for this, this week has shown that there are some Members of Congress who fail to take this crisis seriously,” the release stated. “Numerous Republican members routinely strut around the Capitol without a mask to selfishly make a political statement at the expense of their colleagues, staff, and their families.”

The statement included praise for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi mandating the use of masks, and though Grijalva just politicized the virus imported from China, claimed it was not a partisan issue.

“I’m pleased that Speaker Pelosi has mandated the use of masks at the Capitol to keep members and staff safe from those looking to score quick political points. Stopping the spread of a deadly virus should not be a partisan issue,” Grijalva said.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., responded to the news of Grijalva testing positive in a tweet: “Coronavirus doesn’t care about politics. Madam Speaker, where is your plan for testing?”

Grijalva chaired the Congressional Progressive Caucus for a number of years, before stepping down in 2018 to chair the House Natural Resources committee — this being when Pelosi reclaimed the speaker’s gavel.

His panel held a hearing examining the Park Police response to Lafayette Square protests the day after the House Judiciary Committee hearing.

Gohmert did have a mask, as seen here — it was around his neck as he was speaking at the time.

Gohmert had close interaction with Barr last week, and a DOJ spokeswoman said the attorney general was tested and it came back negative.

The Democrat-led Judiciary panel called Attorney General William Barr to testify and not only did they all but refuse to let him get a word in edgewise, they accused Barr of not answering their questions.

Gohmert had close interaction with Barr last week, and a DOJ spokeswoman said the attorney general was tested and it came back negative.

The lawmaker even suggested that a mask may have led to getting the virus.

“It’s really ironic, because a lot of people have made a big deal out of me not wearing a mask a lot,” Gohmert told KETK-TV. “But in the last week or two, I’ve worn a mask more than I have in the whole last four months.”

“But I can’t help but wonder if my keeping a mask on and keeping it in place, that if I might have put some germs or some of the virus onto the mask and breathed it in — I don’t know,” he added.
