Leftists rioters in Portland, Oregon placed a police hat on a severed pig’s head and set it on fire with the American flag on Day 64 of “protests” in the Democrat-controlled city.

On Friday, rioters torched the pig’s head outside the Hatfield federal courthouse, which has been vandalized and torched in the name of “social justice.”

Journalist Andy Ngo said the pig’s head may have been cut off from an abandoned animal that police recently rescued.

“In the early weeks of the riots, a pig was found abandoned near downtown Portland in the middle of the night. Police rescued the animal,” Ngo tweeted. “It is believed a protester was going to kill the pig as an act of anti-police protest but abandoned it last minute.”

Ngo continued: “Last night was not the first time a severed pig’s head was used as a threat to law enforcement in Portland. In the early weeks of the riots, a burnt pig’s head was left at the base of the now-gone elk statue. This was long before federal agents showed up outside the courthouse.”

Unhinged leftists also burned Bibles.

Portland’s Democrat mayor, Ted Wheeler, praised the “peaceful demonstrations” in his mob-ravaged city and thanked Antifa and Black Lives Matter thugs who have taken over.

Wheeler tweeted: “Last night, Portlanders committed to peaceful demonstrations amplified their energy, asserted their collective voice and reclaimed the space that has been a staging ground for violence, to share their powerful message of reformative justice. Thank you!”

A disgusted Twitter user retorted: “How is animal slaughter part of a “peaceful demonstration,” Mayor?”

Left-wing thugs also dumped trash all over the exit of the Portland courthouse.

“Federal officers go out to clear blockade. Rioters follow them and try to incite violence. Once officers go back inside, they try to kick down the garage gate.”

The Portland Police can’t do anything to the violent Antifa and Black Lives Matter hoodlums because they’ve been given stand-down orders.

Journalist Andy Ngo says the nightly riots have been getting more violent and that “protesters” are brandishing weapons designed to main or kill police and federal officers.

“A lot of the weapons are intentionally designed to look innocuous, like water balloons or water bottles or laser sticks,” Ngo told Fox Business Host Stuart Varney. “But these lasers are unregulated. They buy them through eBay or from China. They’re very high-powered and meant to actually blind and damage the eyes. I’ve had them directed at me in the course of my undercover work. You can’t see anything when one is directed at you — much less a dozen of them.”

Ngo added: “And the water balloons are filled with things such as paint.  They’re used to blind police. When they remove their helmets, they can’t see. And then somebody will launch a ball bearing from a slingshot at them.”

Reminder: Riots have been continuing nonstop in Democrat-controlled cities since May based on the lie that “racist” white cops are hunting down black men.
