Tucker Carlson eviscerated former President Barack Obama as a “greasy politician” for “desecrating” the memorial service for the late Rep. John Lewis.

The Fox News host unloaded on Obama during a monologue on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Thursday, calling him out for turning the funeral into a political stunt by attacking President Donald Trump and spewing “campaign slogans” in his remarks about voting rights.

Before blasting Obama directly, Carlson highlighted the “power grab” in the wake of the protests and riots which have continued since the death of George Floyd in May, warning that it is being “coordinated by the most ruthless and cynical figures in American politics.”

“They accuse you of the crimes they themselves are committing,” he said. “It makes your head spin. Arguing with them is pointless. They’re nihilists. They don’t believe in the existence of truth, or in the fixed meaning of words. They care only about power.”

“If you need more evidence of that, Barack Obama showed up at congressman John Lewis’ funeral today. Obama claims he was there to eulogize his friend but that’s not true and that’s not what he did,” the Fox News host explained.

“Instead Obama gave a divisive and deeply dishonest campaign speech, in church,” he added.

The former president spoke at the funeral for the civil and rights activist who died on July 17 at the age of 80 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. The late Georgia Democrat was remembered at his funeral in Atlanta as not only Obama, but also former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush spoke of his life and legacy.

“By ending some of the partisan gerrymandering — so that all voters have the power to choose their politicians, not the other way around,” Obama said in his eulogy. “And if all this takes eliminating the filibuster — another Jim Crow relic — in order to secure the God-given rights of every American, then that’s what we should do.”

“It’s hard to believe that clip is real but it is, down to the cloying, fake accent, Mr. Hawaii Guy,” Carlson remarked.

“But take three steps back. Imagine if some greasy politician showed up at your loved one’s funeral and started throwing around stupid partisan talking points about Senate procedure. Can you imagine that? You would be shocked if that happened. You’d probably walk out. Desecrating a funeral with campaign slogans? What kind of person would do that?” he continued.

“But Democrats in the audience didn’t seem offended. They didn’t blink. They cheered. It all seemed normal to them,” Carlson noted.

“And why wouldn’t it? Political power is their religion. It’s not out of place in a church. It’s what they worship. People who will politicize a funeral will do anything, and they’re trying to,” he warned, adding that Democrats are “working systematically to dismantle the core institutions of American life.”

He accused Democrats of “working to eliminate the legal equality of American citizens,” as well as trying to “re-purpose federal law enforcement agencies as political weapons.”

“Their leaders have called to make all these changes permanent by packing the Supreme Court, packing the United States Senate and packing the electorate itself by importing tens of millions of new voters.

“Why are they doing all of this? They’ll tell you it’s to make the country better and more just, but the country isn’t improving and it’s not fairer,” Carlson warned. “They are doing this for one reason, to ensure they have complete control of the United States. We are watching it happen right now, though almost no one ever admits it and those who do come close to getting shut down.”

Carlson further irritated liberals when he slammed Obama and his speech in other segments of his Fox News show Thursday, calling out the “flat out lie” in his “grubby and dishonest political speech” as he pushed the issue of mail-in voting to a standing ovation at the funeral.

He also slammed the former president for attacking the police during the eulogy, and bringing up the late anti-civil rights Democrat Bull Connor of Alabama in the process.

“Now, Barack Obama, one of the sleaziest and most dishonest figures in the history of American politics used George Floyd’s death at a funeral to attack the police,” Carlson said.

“Bull Connor may be gone. But today we witness with our own eyes police officers kneeling on the necks of black Americans,” Obama had said at the memorial service.

“Bull Connor! The country falling apart, riven by racial strife and tribalism, and one of the most respected people in the whole country decides to pour gasoline on that and compare the police to Bull Connor?” Carlson exclaimed.

“As if America or Minneapolis is like Birmingham, Alabama in 1963? It’s insane. It’s reckless,” he added. “But of course, Obama doesn’t care. It’s only about November and the coming election.”
