The tragic death of Herman Cain was quickly exploited by those motivated by their hatred of President Trump, as they wasted no time dancing on the former business executive’s grave to score points against the president.

At the same time, Fox News host Sean Hannity slammed those in the media for the “shameless” behavior — of course, this was tame compared to the online reaction.

Because Cain attended a Trump rally last month, and opted not to wear a mask, the Trump-hating cabal all but accused the president of murder after it was announced early Thursday that Cain had passed away after being hospitalized in early July for the treatment of COVID-19, or suggested he got what he deserved — never mind that the politicization of Cain’s death was sure to bring more pain to his family.

Cain was beloved on the right, as much for his charisma and infectious laugh as the fact that he was a self-made man too busy achieving to play the role of victim, and he found broad support when he opted to run for president in 2012 — until his campaign was sabotaged by sexual misconduct charges.

Fox News host Sean Hannity noted that Democrats always get a “free pass” for their treatment of black conservatives. People like Herman Cain, who supported Trump.

“Why do Democrats constantly get a pass for their disgusting history of racism,” he asked.

“African-American Trump supporters are constantly demeaned, minimized and called every name in the book simply because of their race and their political beliefs. We saw another example of this on MSDNC — all things propaganda, state-run Democratic Party radical socialist network.”

He played a clip of MSNBC anchor Craig Melvin asking a Democratic state lawmaker in Georgia if he was a “paid” Trump campaign surrogate because he supports Trump being reelected.

State Rep. Vernon Jones shot back, “You need to accept that many other African-Americans and others support this president because of his policies. And to insult me to say am I getting paid? That is disgraceful and that is representative of MSNBC and their narrative to keep blacks silent who happen to support this president.”

“The conduct and behavior of the left is truly reprehensible,” Hannity said. “We saw it today when some are almost giddy that our dear friend… Herman Cain who died from coronavirus.”

The Fox News host then addressed “the shameful behavior from the mob and media surrounding his death.”

“Reuters summing up his amazing life as a man who refused to wear a mask?” he said. “Fake News CNN’s Ana Navarro tweeting, ‘Herman Cain thought COVID was a hoax. Scoffed at wearing a mask. Died of COVID.’ One sparsely watched MSDNC host blaming Trump for Cain’s death?

(The sparsely watched MSNBC host being Lawrence O’Donnell.)

“What we see is beyond disrespectful, beyond tasteless and shameful,” he continued. “And by the way, did they know anything about Herman Cain, his health condition, anything about it at all? Or are they just using it as a political weapon on the day he died? The mob hates Donald Trump so bad they literally — they’re reveling in death, using it as a cheap political point.”
