Make no mistake, new weave or not, Joy Reid falls well short of the standard of hard-hitting journalists seeking the truth — if such a creature still exists in the year 2020.
All of which explain why the MSNBC host gets the Joe Biden interview.
But even in the safe confines of a controllable environment, the presumptive 2020 Democratic nominee struggles, as seen when Biden talked about vetting a potential running mate — males need not apply, as “Sleepy Joe” has already declared that his running mate will be a woman.
After comparing the vetting process to “a public physical examination,” he tried to score a few “woke” points among the progressive faithful, but had a hard time putting his words together to assure adherence to today’s new standard of acceptable speech.

“That is just being finished,” he said. “And I’m having a two-hour, uh, um, vetting report from the lawyers and women — women and men of color, as well as white, uh, folks who are doing the vetting. Um, and, uh, when I get all the vetting done of all the candidates, then I’m going to narrow the, the uh — the list, and then we’ll see.”
The look of Reid’s face as Biden spit that jumbled word salad out was priceless.
As for his potential running mate, who may have the greatest odds ever to ascend to the throne, Biden has said that there are four black women on the list.
Among the names he is reportedly considering are Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif, Reps. Karen Bass, D-Calif., and Val Demings, D-Fla., Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, and former Obama administration official Susan Rice.
Imagine any one of these women as commander in chief of the most powerful nation in the history of the world.
That was just one of Biden’s stumbles in the soft ball interview, in another segment discussing the left’s go-to boogeyman, foreign interference in our election, he talks about a “voter registration physician,” whatever that means.

The stunning thing about moments like this is that liberal journalist like Reid sit there like a toad on stump and say nothing about Biden’s verbal blunders.
Just once you’d think one might interrupt to say, “Excuse me, what did you just say?”
Of course, the recurring thought being heard more and more is that there’s no way the powers than be in the Democratic Party let Biden take a debate stage with President Donald Trump.

That’s good old Joe. They need to help him. If he suffers some kind of physical breakdown on the trail they should be held responsible. I don’t see him making it. Sometimes even a puppet just has its eyes fall off. Or a thread come undone. Joe is falling apart like an old puppet!
