Blue-check liberal Soledad O’Brien picked on the wrong meteorologist and things got ugly in Twitterville.

The source of the latest controversy revolves around who has “credentials” to speak about COVID, with a subtext that Trump Derangement Syndrome has become a political pandemic.

O’Brien made a fool over herself after Janice Dean was appropriately outraged when Dr. Anthony Fauci, who seems to spend all his time on TV and in photo shoots rather than in the lab or studying actual data, inexplicably claimed that New York handled the coronavirus mitigation “correctly.”

Dean wrote on Twitter “This is garbage.”

Janice Dean can speak with some authority on this subject. Almost single-handedly in the news media that otherwise fawns over Democrat Andrew Cuomo, an aggressive adversary of President Trump, Dean has been holding the New York governor’s feet to the fire for his catastrophic decision to send thousands of COVID-positive patients to nursing homes.

This edict is believed to have spiked coronavirus deaths in those facilities. Dean tragically lost both her in-laws, who lived in eldercare housing, to the infection.

When the far-left O’Brien condescendingly chimed in that the “meteorologist weighs in,” Megyn Kelly, along with a slew of others, clapped back.

“That ‘meteorologist’s’ name is Janice Dean. She’s a working mom w/MS who is married to a hero 9/11 fireman. She lost both in-laws in NY nursing homes thx to Cuomo’s disastrous orders & so yeah, she gets an opinion. She also epitomizes class & kindness. Remember those?”

In a callback to the stated reason for Megyn Kelly’s firing from NBC News, Soledad mocked Kelly as “the Blackface lady.”

Unlike a lot of liberals in politics and in the media, Megyn Kelly  — like her or not — never wore blackface, she just talked about it on her show, which NBC suits used as a pretext to oust her, although they reportedly paid off her entire contract.

Kelly was undaunted with this insult, however, and sought to provide some necessary background for O’Brien, who doesn’t seem to be on top of current events.

“Oh, let me help you! You attacked a woman grieving her dead relatives for challenging the narrative that NY handled corona just great, dismissing her as too small to have an opinion [because] she’s just a meteorologist.”

Dean’s FNC colleague Kennedy also came to Dean’s defense.

“She’s actually a heartbroken wife and mother who lost BOTH of her husband’s parents within days to COVID, because of [Cuomo’s] nursing home policy. I think she’s more than qualified. And she’s a kickass meteorologist.”

In alluding to the controlling effect of O’Brien’s anti-Trump, pro-Democrat no-matter-what philosophy, Greg Gutfeld, another network co-worker, added that “Soledad is proof how politics saps team sport players of any empathy. She wasn’t always like this.”

Although Megyn Kelly doesn’t have a lot of support on the left or the right these days, many Twitter users backed her over O’Brien in this dispute.
