First daughter Ivanka Trump has entered the Goya Foods tug of war, with the senior adviser to President Donald Trump featuring the company’s slogan in a tweet.
“If it’s Goya, it has to be good,” the president’s daughter tweeted, along with a photo of herself holding up a can of Goya black beans in a Vanna White-like pose.
And to be sure the message reached as far as it could, Ivanka repeated the slogan in Spanish: “Si es Goya, tiene que ser bueno.”

Naturally, the Trump-hating cabal, to include much of the media, took exception to the tweet, complaining that Ivanka was using her position as a White House official to plug a product.
That we are even here speaks volumes about how out of control the intolerant left is in the year 2020.
After all, Goya Foods, the most-recognized Hispanic brand in the United States, was thrust into the political limelight simply because CEO Robert Unanue dared to praise the president.
“We’re all truly blessed at the same time to have a leader like President Trump, who is a builder,” Unanue said Thursday during a Hispanic Prosperity Initiative at the White House.
While rather tame, it was enough for radical Democrats like Julian Castro, who served in President Barack Obama’s cabinet, to call for a boycott — Unanue called the boycott “a reflection of a division that exists today in our country” that is “killing our nation.”
In response, the good guys countered with a “buy-cott,” which saw grocery shelves all across America empty of the popular Goya product line.
Conservative radio host Mike Opelka is attributed with igniting the Goya “buy-cott” movement, according to Fox News — he proposed that people purchase $10 worth of Goya Foods products and donate them to a local food bank.
Opelka appeared on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday to say he’s “trying to fight anger with love.”

“It looks like love is winning,” he said. “And that’s really what this is about, taking a negative and turning it into a positive that works for the employees of Goya and the people who need food right now.”
Opelka coined a snappy phrase to describe the faction on the left who targeted the company in the first place, people like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.
“This is an ‘offendanista’ group, we call them,” he said. “They’re a group of folks who wake up every morning angry because Donald Trump is their president and they look for a reason to dislike him even more.”
An unapologetic Unanue appeared Friday on “Fox & Friends” to call out the double standard on the left.
“In 2012, eight years ago, I was called by Michelle Obama … who wanted to approach the African American community, the Hispanic community to eat more nutritionally,” he said, explaining he was asked to introduce President Obama during an event for Hispanic Heritage Month.
“And so you’re allowed to talk good or to praise one president, but … when I was called to be part of this commission to aid in economic educational prosperity and you make a positive comment, all of a sudden that’s not acceptable,” Unanue said.
As for the aforementioned liberal umbrage over Ivanka’s tweet, here’s a sampling of the hate-fest, led by AOC, who said in Spanish: “If it’s Trump, he has to be corrupt.”
