For real? Trump-hating Lincoln Project targets odd list of Republicans they claim are doing Trump’s bidding

The Lincoln Project, a coalition of former Republicans who claim they’re still Republican even though they’ve abandoned every Republican policy position known to man, have put out a new ad in the hopes it’ll persuade actual Republicans to vote against President Donald Trump’s allies in the GOP-led Senate.

In other words, these “Republicans” have put out a Democrat campaign ad, and perhaps given Republican voters a handy list of where to throw in extra support…

Watch the ad below:

“Someday soon the time of Trump will pass. This circus of incompetence, corruption and cruelty will end. When it does, the men and women in Trump’s Republican Party will come to you telling you they can repair the damage he’s done,” the narrator says.

“They’ll beg you to forget their votes to exonerate Trump for his crimes, ask you to forgive their silence, their cowardice and their betrayals as Trump wrecked this nation. Every time they had a choice between America and Trump, they chose Trump.”

“Every time they were called to the service of this nation and their sacred oath, they chose Trump. Every time. Learn their names. Remember their actions. And never, ever trust them again.”

Because the Lincoln Project’s ad is clearly a Democrat campaign ad, it makes no mention of the Democrat Party’s increasing embrace of radical ideas such as “dismantling” the U.S. “economy and political system,” defunding the police, etc.:

Instead, the ad focuses on denigrating the one remaining major political party that still believes men are men, women are women, cops are good and criminals are bad.

It specifically zeroes in on Republicans like Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, one of the key figures responsible for ensuring then-Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed to his post in 2018 despite a deceitful campaign by rabid Democrats senators to prevent his confirmation and ruin his life.

The targeted list includes some odd choices including Lindsey Graham, who’s often blasted by conservatives for being too soft on investigations into deep state crimes against Trump and Susan Collins, who is an outspoken critic of Trump.

Both, however, were also instrumental in seeing that Kavanaugh was confirmed to the Supreme Court.

The publication of the ad comes as the president enjoys a 90 percent approval rating among the Republican base, according to Gallup.

It also comes amid a new Hill-HarrisX poll showing that a notable 10 percent of registered Democrats would vote for the president.

“Biden’s projected advantage over Trump shrank since the same question was asked by poll takers in June. At that time, only 7 percent of Democrats said they would cast their ballots for Trump,” Newsweek reported Wednesday.

“According to the poll, which was conducted July 3-4, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden holds a 4-point lead over Trump overall. That number represents a slide for Biden, who held a 10-point lead over Trump in June.”

The ad’s publication also comes amid a flurry of black Americans joining the movement to reelect the president, including Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones, a Democrat, and North Carolina resident Immanuel Jarvis, a former Democrat who embraced conservatism in the late 1990s and hasn’t looked back since.

“President Trump has worked to undo injustices within our criminal justice system. He signed the First Step Act, the first major reform to our criminal justice system in a decade. Thanks to the president’s leadership on this issue, our criminal justice system is fairer and our communities are safer,” Vernon wrote in an op-ed this week.

“As black Americans, we need to be aware of the clear choice in front of us. Joe Biden has betrayed black Americans throughout his career in Washington. President Trump has spent his 3.5 years in office fighting to improve the lives of black Americans. We cannot be tricked again. Democrats like Biden will conveniently appear in our neighborhoods and pander to us from now until November. Why? Because they only care about black people during election years.”

Jarvis began to feel similarly about the Democrat Party’s relationship with the black community as he grew more knowledgeable of the facts.

“The more Jarvis read, the more distaste he felt toward the Democratic Party and, in his eyes, its destructive paternalism. Democrats, he came to believe, don’t really have the best interests of Black voters at heart, but prefer a transactional relationship: Here’s some government aid; vote for us and we’ll see you again in October of the next even-numbered year, when election time rolls around,” Yahoo News reported in a profile Wednesday.

Black people have been exploited and manipulated and used as pawns for this entire time. Today it’s just more sophisticated than it was before,” Jarvis said in his own words.

Yet Democrats are whom the so-called “Republicans” in The Lincoln Project have chosen to ally themselves with …

And not just any Democrats, but the same Democrat — presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden — whom some of them had themselves previously admitted “is a moron”:

But if Biden’s “a moron” and they’re now backing this “moron” — and all under the false mantle of Republicanism — what does that make them?
