Rapper Snoop Dogg smeared black conservatives including Herman Cain and Candace Owens as “The Coon Bunch” in a social media post.

The 48-year-old singer and producer shared a controversial meme with his 48.1 million Instagram followers on Sunday, disparaging prominent black conservatives who have been supporters of President Donald Trump or critical of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Mimicking the style used in the sitcom “The Brady Bunch,” the faces of Cain, Owens, the Hodge twins, Terrence K. Williams and Darrell C. Scott were arranged in the meme along with David Harris, Jr., Diamond & Silk, Paris Dennard, and Angela Stanton.

The image of a raccoon was also included along with the slur that is used to smear black people in the post from the artist, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr.

Snoop Dogg,  who starred in the VH1 series “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party” along with lifestyle guru Martha Stewart, has frequently attacked Trump and his supporters in comments, even coming out with a video in 2017 with a mock “assassination” of the president.

Actor and comedian Terrence K. Williams, who has been an outspoken supporter of Trump, called out Snoop Dogg on the Instagram post, writing, “you use to hang with President Trump and talk highly of him but we coons ??”

Angela Stanton-King, the goddaughter of Alveda King, Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece who was pardoned by President Trump earlier this year, fired back at the rapper, pointing out his own past.

Far from getting applause for his attack on the conservatives, Snoop Dogg was slammed on social media for being a “bigot,” and for causing more division in a nation grappling with weeks of racial tensions.

“Snoop Dogg officially went of the deep end a while ago!” Republican Errol Webber, who is running for election to the U.S. House to represent California, tweeted. “Thankfully, no one listens to him anymore and never will. He should drop this topic.”

Some social media users noted that Snoop Dogg is a “hypocrite” since he did not include Kanye West in his meme. West, who has openly spoken in support of President Trump, made a surprise announcement on Saturday that he is planning to run for president this year.

Though Snoop Dogg called out West as being “brainwashed” for his Trump support, the two artists have apparently continued to collaborate as seen in a recent video.

Others just slammed the outright hatred.
