Left-wing zealots, including disgraced former NFL star Colin Kaepernick, disrupted 4th of July festivities this year by predictably disrespecting the American flag and also accusing the holiday of being a “celebration of white supremacy.”
The irony of their allegations was remarkably stunning …
In Washington, D.C., far-left zealots congregated on Black Lives Matter Plaza — a two-block-long section of downtown D.C. that’s dedicated solely to black people (black supremacy, anyone?) — and then danced on the flag because of “white supremacy.”

These zealots later burnt the flag while ironically chanting, “One, two, three, four, slavery, genocide and war, five, six, seven, eight, America was never great.”
It seemed to be lost on them that America is in reality so great that it allows deranged, potentially mentally disturbed individuals to behave like this:
This despicable flag burning is not in Tehran. It’s in Washington, DC. 1.3 million Americans have paid the ultimate price to give these jerks the freedom to burn the US 🇺🇸 flag. pic.twitter.com/OVJ6W3BfgN

After arguments with protesters who disagreed with their action, RevCom have managed to get a larger flag burning outside the gated Lafayette Square to chants of “slavery, genocide and war—America was never great.” Within seconds, it’s reduced to ash. pic.twitter.com/r7VItDanpw

To understand the mentality behind this behavior, one need only look to Kaepernick’s Twitter feed, which he used Saturday to disparage the country responsible for first turning into him an NFL star worth millions and then later into some sort of cultural icon worth even more millions.
“Black ppl have been dehumanized, brutalized, criminalized + terrorized by America for centuries, & are expected to join your commemoration of ‘independence’, while you enslaved our ancestors. We reject your celebration of white supremacy & look forward to liberation for all,” he tweeted Saturday afternoon.

The tweet provoked annoyance and exasperation, in part because of the suspicion that there were political motivations behind it. After all, prior to President Donald Trump stepping into office, Kaepernick had seemingly been a big fan of July 4th.
Case in point:
Happy 4th of july everyone I hope everyone has a blessed day
— Colin Kaepernick (@Kaepernick7) July 4, 2011
In 2013, he even attended a July 4th party. His appearance at the party drew media attention because of the hat he’d chosen to wear to it.
“Last night, James McKinney posted a picture of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick showing up to a 4th of July party shirtless. But, that was not the point of the picture. It’s the hat on his head that caused a double-take. It’s not a 49ers hat…it’s a Miami Dolphins hat,” SB Nation reported on July 5th, 2013.
But then suddenly in 2017, everything changed:
How can we truly celebrate independence on a day that intentionally robbed our ancestors of theirs? To find my independence I went home. pic.twitter.com/hniYGJeLxG
— Colin Kaepernick (@Kaepernick7) July 4, 2017
“What have I, or those I represent, to do with your national independence? This Fourth of July is yours, not mine…There is not a nation on the earth guilty of practices more shocking and bloody than are the people of these United States at this very hour.”
– Frederick Douglass pic.twitter.com/IWLujGCJHn— Colin Kaepernick (@Kaepernick7) July 4, 2019
To be fair, 2016 was the year Kaepernick began his national anthem protests. But at the time he swore he wasn’t meaning to demean the flag but simply draw attention to the alleged epidemic of black criminal suspects being unjustifiably killed by the police.
But four years later, it’s now clear to a growing number of Americans that he’d been lying — that his aims have always involved tearing down the country itself through the promotion of rage-based “revenge and division.”
Look:
It’s not about disrespecting the flag. It’s not about disrespecting the flag. Yes, I admit it, it’s about disrespecting the flag. Told ya so…

Remember when they tell you its not about the flag as they kneel on Sundays. That’s not why Kap was doing it they say. We don’t hate America they say. Make sure you show them this tweet and tell the all to go pound sand.
— Milo (@GoodBoyMiilo) July 5, 2020
Kap has repeatedly said it was not about the flag and the anthem, but yet today he makes this post. He didn’t complain till he got benched, his tweets from 2011 he is praising the country and flag. What changed, HE LOST HIS STARTING JOB. and everyone bought into his shit

So much for it not being about the flag.

You wore a Fidel Castro shirt and spoke positively about him. He brutalized, terrorized, stole from and murdered innocent Cubans. You aren’t a hero, you’re a hypocrite. You don’t seek equality and peace, you seek revenge and division. pic.twitter.com/EWQzyH9Jsd

His aims are now shared by a majority of the Democrat Party.
