Kimberly Guilfoyle, a fundraising official for President Trump’s campaign who is dating his eldest son, has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.
The 51-year-old former Fox News host who was in South Dakota ahead of the President’s Fourth of July celebration event at Mount Rushmore, was tested and then isolated, according to Sergio Gor, chief of staff for the Trump Victory Finance Committee.
“After testing positive, Kimberly was immediately isolated to limit any exposure,” Gor said.
“She’s doing well, and will be retested to ensure the diagnosis is correct since she’s asymptomatic but as a precaution will cancel all upcoming events. Donald Trump Jr was tested negative, but as a precaution is also self-isolating and is canceling all public events,” Gor added.

A key fundraiser for the Trump re-election campaign, Guilfoyle had reportedly traveled to the event at Mount Rushmore along with Trump Jr. but they were not aboard Air Force One, according to The New York Times. A source told the newspaper that Guilfoyle was not experiencing symptoms when she was tested and neither she nor Trump Jr. ever met up with members of the president’s entourage.

She was the only person in the group who tested positive.

Some Trump campaign staff, as well as Secret Service personnel, tested positive for the coronavirus in recent days and Guilfoyle was in attendance at the president’s rally last month in Tulsa, Okla. Eight of the Trump advance team staffers who were at that rally tested positive for coronavirus.
Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, who was at the same Oklahoma event, tested positive for the coronavirus and was hospitalized this week after experiencing serious symptoms.
Guilfoyle had “been with a lot of the campaign donors” in the last few days, as she and Trump Jr. had been hosting fundraisers in the upper Plains region recently, a source told CNN.
One event held in Gallatin Gateway, Montana and called the “Mountain West Ranch Retreat,” reportedly took place from Tuesday until Thursday, while another — the “Rapid City Roundup Retreat” in Rapid City, South Dakota — took place from Thursday to Friday.
Guilfoyle became the national chairwoman of the Trump Victory Finance Committee earlier this year and is one of the closest people to the president and his family to test positive for the virus. The ex-wife of Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Guilfoyle began dating the president’s eldest son in 2018.
This week, safety and testing protocols at the White House were modified.
“Every staff member and guest in close proximity to the president and vice president is still being temperature-checked, asked symptom histories and tested for Covid-19,” White House spokesman Judd Deere said in a statement.
Trump’s personal valet and Vice President Mike Pence’s communications director, Katie Miller tested positive for COVID-19 last month, prompting daily coronavirus tests for the president and vice president as well as any staffers who came into close contact with them.
