Fox News host Tucker Carlson slam-dunked Senator Mike Braun (R-Indiana) for proposing a bill that would make it easier to sue police officers and for bending the knee to Black Lives Matter, even though the militant mob allegedly called for the murder of cops.
“Before I ask you about qualified immunity and your attempts to water it down, I was very surprised by that endorsement that you gave on camera of Black Lives Matter,” Carlson said to Braun. “Black Lives Matter has, of course, called for the murder of police officers. Why do you support it and are there any other race-specific revolutionary movements that you support?”
Braun incoherently replied by claiming that he has a conservative voting record. “I’ve got one of the most conservative voting records,” Braun said.
Carlson retorted: “Have you read their [Black Lives Matter] website? Are you in favor of abolishing the nuclear family?”
Senator Braun replied: “I support anybody that does have a grievance to be able to air it and that’s it. That doesn’t mean that all lives don’t matter. It just means that if you think a certain sector of society has a grievance, it ought to be through transparency and a willingness to debate it and get it out there.”
Carlson then asked Braun why he wants to expose individual police officers to legal liability even though members of Congress are protected from such lawsuits.
“We just showed tape of you saying that we need to make it easier to sue the police because of the ‘egregious incidents’ like the death of Rayshard Brooks,” Tucker said. “Do you believe that he was killed unjustly? Do you believe that Officer Rolfe deserves the death penalty, which he now faces?”
Braun stammered: “I believe you ought to have the ability…to have access to due process, to have your case heard.”
Carlson replied: “They do have that right. Qualified immunity has nothing to do with that case. Do you believe the office are now facing the death penalty deserves to face the death penalty? And if you don’t, tell us what he should have done.”
Mike Braun and Carlson then went back and forth arguing how police could have handled Rayshard Brooks after he resisted arrest, punched the cops, stole their Taser and then shot it in their direction.
Tucker said: “I want you to explain. You are an office holder. It’s not fair for you to filibuster without answering the question. The officer facing the death penalty had a guy fire a weapon at him, what should he have done then?”
Braun could not offer a coherent defense for what Brooks did, which many police officers defended as appropriate.
Reminder: In 2014 (when Obama was president) anti-police protesters chanted: “What do we want? DEAD COPS! When do we want it? NOW!”
Sheriff Alfonzo Williams of Georgia — who’s black — said the use of lethal force against Rayshard Brooks was “completely justified” and is being over-hyped as a political weapon to demonize the police, especially white cops.
“We’re sending the wrong message to our black youth,” Sheriff Williams said. “We’re telling them that it’s OK — that they can run from the police, that they can take a weapon from the police, they can fight with the police, and point their weapon at the police — and expect nothing to happen. That is the wrong message to send to black youth.”

As for Black Lives Matter, prominent black authors have slammed the organization, saying it’s not a legitimate civil-rights movement but a puppet coalition being opportunistically manipulated by the Democrat Party to win the presidency.
“It’s part of the cultural Marxist agenda against America,” said Dr. Carol Swain, an attorney and retired professor. “[Democrats] are using black people to advance a radical agenda that will be destructive to our nation, that will hurt all of us. And it’s hurting us right now.”

Why is the Left ignoring this?
Black pastor: “All the killings in our community ain’t coming from white people. We’re killing one another. Our old people are scared to come out at night. They’re not scared of white people, they’re scared of young black boys.”
